'Plastique' Set To Make An Explosive Debut In Season One Of THE FLASH

We already know of a number of familiar faces from the comic books who will be making an appearance in the first few episodes of The Flash, and we can now add the villainous Plastique to that list. However, it sounds as if she could soon become an ally to the Scarlet Speedster...

TV Line have a very interesting scoop about yet another DC Comics character who will be returning to the small screen (after appearing in Smallville). "Sgt. Bette Sans Souci – AKA Plastique – will make her way to The Flash this season. The series’ incarnation of the metahuman is a fetching young redhead who was a bomb specialist with the Army before she was injured by an IED in Iraq. Since being exposed to the Central City explosion, she can turn any object into a bomb with just a touch of her hand. Not a bad comrade for The Flash to have on his team, eh?" Wait, a "comrade"? In the comic books, Firestorm and Killer Frost play a role in Plastique's origin, and with both of those characters set to appear in The Flash, it should be interesting to see how much of that backstory they decide to incorporate here. It's also worth nothing that she later joins the Suicide Squad, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see Plastique make an appearance in Arrow...

Not really familiar with her, but okay, cool.

The god damn DC tv universe is killing it. I'm still pulling for them to connect the tv and movie universes together. Why create this vast expanded tv universe in the first place?
DarthCMPunk - 7/22/2014, 6:40 PM
@TonyChu they will not and should not ever ever ever connect them. It's too limiting for the writers on both sides and they are perfectly fine on their own. It's not happening they have said it a million times already
CookieKid247 - 7/22/2014, 6:40 PM
Sounds cool.

If she's in the debut then she must be pretty dope. Most likely set up to be in the rest of the season like Deathstroke in Arrow.
Mothchild - 7/22/2014, 6:45 PM
This is pretty cool.

I know its a pipe dream but my whole concern is when it comes to the Flash in particular. It would be pretty weird to have two actors playing the Flash at the same time. I know this worked for Smallville and Superman Returns but let's be honest Justice Leauge is going to have a much bigger impact than Superman Returns. Fan are going to want to see more of the Flash after the movie much like when it came to the heroes after the Avengers. The comic book genre is on fire right now and the general audience are gaining more intrest in these characters. So why not have this expanded universe much like Marvel is doing. Let it be known that Captain America 2 literally saved Agents of SHEILD, the second half of season one was great. Thus both tv and the movies can benefit from each other. DC is looking to get on Marvel's level, so why not take a page from their play book and create this expaded universe?
RedNTheHood - 7/22/2014, 6:55 PM
Hopefully better than the Smallville one...

Know little of the character. I think she appeared on "Batman Beyond" once.
PeterParker1991 - 7/22/2014, 7:06 PM
Smallville had a terrible version of Plastique. I shiver to see what'll be done to her next..

Got the perfect ginger, oh wait, she's been claimed by Marvel, damn...

GuardianAngel - 7/22/2014, 7:50 PM
She was in that one Task Force X episode of JLU.
GL - 7/22/2014, 7:52 PM
I love how this show is bringing in DC's second class characters
soforizo - 7/22/2014, 7:53 PM
@batz11

No thank you that girl has no rack.
Bl00dwerK - 7/22/2014, 8:02 PM
I know basically nothing about the Flash...
JatevinM - 7/22/2014, 8:04 PM
Soforizo@ Yes because when it comes to female casting of comic book characters it should always be done based upon whether the actress has huge tits or not -rolls eyes-
SKOne - 7/22/2014, 8:06 PM
I'd be very surprised if she isn't on the Flash half of the crossover episodes with the Villains being the Suicide Squad (without Lyla,Diggle, and Slade).
TheOverlord - 7/22/2014, 8:10 PM
She's not the first...

...but I do like the updated look they're going for!
DCGuy - 7/22/2014, 8:11 PM
I love this! Flash & Arrow get better every day...literally. THE DC HYPE TRAIN MAKES NO STOPS!
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 8:16 PM
...and that's not exact "no rack" imo...

I never said that "it should always be" based on that. But physical resembles should be at least consider and that girl doesn't look like her at all.
soforizo - 7/22/2014, 8:25 PM
@batz11

If you call that a rack, then I'm pretty much packing one. LMAO!

Anyways, you're welcome to like that.
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 8:33 PM
Ok sof, you're right, I've seen you in action lol...

So, if I my job was taste testing marshmallows all day and I was caught in the Central City Star Labs explosion, would I gain the ability to turn any object I touch into a Peep treat?

Is it a gene? Only certain people get their work related skill turned into a super power?

Seems like when everyday objects around Central City start turning into vegetables, you might go investigate the farmer's market for potential Star Labs' explosion victims who suddenly began wearing gloves.

never connect a TV series that looks low budget to a Hollywood power house, sorry like Arrow and Flash or not, the budget isnt big and it shows (at least for arrow since flash isnt out yet)
mgeoff88 - 7/22/2014, 9:47 PM
The actress that played her on Smallville was hot and did a good job, but the character was poorly adapted.

Looking forward to seeing a better version of Plastique on the show.
mgeoff88 - 7/22/2014, 9:48 PM
@batz Ha ha, I like how you said "mouth-full" instead of hand-full. ;)
MightyZeus - 7/22/2014, 9:50 PM
Not really liking the pictures of half naked women in the comment section, to be honest.
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 9:54 PM
mgeoff, haha, yeah, I'm a horny [frick], nuttin' wrong with that, right?

Watched latest episode of True Blood tonight, she's is amazingly attractive to me, plus, she's a very good actress...can't wait for DareDevil!
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 9:58 PM
Mighty, for you, I removed those "offensive" picks, they were there to make a point towards sof's ridiculous comments towards her...we all know sof is nuts anyways so probably unnecessary...my apologies. Hope they didn't cause irreversible harm to you...
mgeoff88 - 7/22/2014, 10:04 PM
@batz Lol! There is nothing wrong with that. Shit lol... Now I feel like there is pressure to make this thread more conservative. Saying "breasts" is classy though, right?

;P
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 10:09 PM
Thanks for smutting this place up mgeoff!

Ha, ha...geesus, one I posted was even black and white, isn't that considered art? Lol...
