Collider managed to catch up with Agent Carter producers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con to quiz them about how much the series will tie into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. "What’s great is that we have the same bonus with Cap one, that we could do anything we want because we don’t have to tie into anything because we come before everything," McFeely revealed. "Then we forced them to tie into us." However, it was Markus would would reveal one very interesting detail; we're finally going to get to see Edwin Jarvis, the man who serves as The Avengers' faithful butler in the comic books but has been replaced by an A.I. (who is set to become The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "We’ll certainly have Easter eggs and even more than that. I think I can say, one of the characters will be Edwin Jarvis, who is Howard Stark’s manservant, who goes on to be a tutor to Tony, and therefore is the inspiration for the AI voice and all that. So it’s that kind of interconnectedness that should make peoples ears go … that’s the kind of reaction I want. That’s right." How do you guys feel about this news?

MsDarkPhoenix - 7/25/2014, 7:12 PM
That's pretty cool!! He has show up at some MCU comic tie ins and it will be great for the non comic book fans to see the story behind JARVIS
Lozzy - 7/25/2014, 7:13 PM
I hope he's played by Paul Bettany
ALegendaryPanda - 7/25/2014, 7:14 PM
That is pretty freaking awesome!
Celotom - 7/25/2014, 7:14 PM
AWESOME!
PAF - 7/25/2014, 7:15 PM
Thor and Hulk look oddly out of place.
PAF - 7/25/2014, 7:15 PM
I think that's fake.
DrKinsolving - 7/25/2014, 7:16 PM
Nice, There might be more to this show than I thought
digymastr - 7/25/2014, 7:17 PM

JerBear - 7/25/2014, 7:17 PM
That's fake
marcvader1 - 7/25/2014, 7:17 PM
It is fake.
JerBear - 7/25/2014, 7:18 PM
That Thor is from the first Avengers banner and the Hulk is from an Avengers still.
JoshWilding - 7/25/2014, 7:18 PM
If you think that poster is real, get a new pair of [frick]ing glasses. :)
magnusinthebox - 7/25/2014, 7:18 PM
The poster is fake. Thor is the concept art from the first Avengers, Hulk is from a still of the movie.
SuperDude001 - 7/25/2014, 7:20 PM
@Lozzy Paul Bettany playing the original Jarvis would be perfect. If not, definitely need someone that could resemble a relative of his.

@antman8o8 easily fake cause hulk is just a photoshopped screenshot, and Thor is from the concept art of the first Avengers.
DrKinsolving - 7/25/2014, 7:21 PM
@Bekss

Haha, come a long way since that video
PAF - 7/25/2014, 7:21 PM
@antman8o8

Don't worry soon enough we shall have it in full!
TheAbaryMan369 - 7/25/2014, 7:23 PM
Part of me wants to scream with excitement, another part of me is going WTF.
IronMountaineer - 7/25/2014, 7:23 PM
Sweet! I love this plot development!

I also wondered, the synthetic man, or the original "human torch" was in Cap, I wonder if that tech will factor into the development of vision as well, just a thought.
MARVELFAN1995 - 7/25/2014, 7:28 PM
@antman8o8

That's clearly photoshopped. The Thor image is from early concept art of the first Avengers, and the Hulk is a still picture from The Avengers... We'll get the real full poster tomorrow.
DeusExSponge - 7/25/2014, 7:29 PM
Cool! This is getting a bit exciting!
koolaidbag - 7/25/2014, 7:39 PM
If we're getting Jarvis does that then mean we'll also be getting Howard?
eleven59 - 7/25/2014, 7:44 PM
Kind of had a feeling Tony's AI Jarvis was based on a real Jarvis ... Excellent!
omnipotent18 - 7/25/2014, 7:48 PM
this sounds awesome
marvel72 - 7/25/2014, 7:51 PM
i been supporting this agent carter mini series from day one,i loved the marvel one shot.all this recent agent carter news today sounds promising.
Crabnado - 7/25/2014, 7:52 PM
that's a respectful nod to the comics. i was beginning to feel bad for the human jarvis.
TheOverlord - 7/25/2014, 7:53 PM
I was just thinking: there's no reason Loki couldn't appear on this show.
PymParticle - 7/25/2014, 7:53 PM
Pretty sure Bettany is in. The facts:

Agent Carter will feature Jarvis, Whedon implemented a scene (flashback) featuring Peggy, Jarvis (Bettany), and Rogers. --- It would only make sense for Agent Carter to then also use Bettany.
String - 7/25/2014, 8:05 PM
I am really hoping that flashback scene between Cap and Peggy in AOU has Bettany as James Hammond, the original human torch. So many possibilities with Agent Carter -the Howling Commandoes, Union Jack -it has real potential to be a bigger piece of the MCU than AOS.
RobertLiefeld - 7/25/2014, 8:17 PM
Should have been a real person all along... but sure throw him back 50 years into the past, works for Hank Pym.
LEOSTRATOR - 7/25/2014, 8:22 PM
Not really looking forward to this show, but I'll give it a try.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/25/2014, 8:55 PM
Love this idea. It shows the Stark lineage in way of a butler who tony grew up with. Now we must know how he also dies because that's inevitable unless he dies sometime in the 80's or 90's. Very intrigued and this confirms Howard Stark. Next I say Howling Commandos make a one of two episode appearance. No to Paul Bettany as Jarvis the human. Yes to Bettany as John Hammond the original Human torch and basis for Vision. ;)
PeterDarker121 - 7/25/2014, 8:59 PM
Ahhh...nice. This means Dominic Cooper as Tony's dad appearing in the show can't be far behind (I hope).......
mgeoff88 - 7/25/2014, 9:01 PM
That sound great! I was wondering if we were ever going to see the real Jarvis.
mgeoff88 - 7/25/2014, 9:04 PM
@121 It has been confirmed that Dominic Cooper will appear on Agent Carter:

0megaDaGod - 7/25/2014, 9:27 PM
Damn

Well that confirms Dominic Cooper

This show is shaping up VERY nicely
PeterDarker121 - 7/25/2014, 9:30 PM
@megeoff88 Thanks for the heads up, dude...I didn't catch that. Note that it's not an official STUDIO confirmation, but Hayley's talking about him as if he's on the set, so that's good enough for me!

@TheRealRemyLebeau I can see Bettany appearing as Jarvis in prosthetic make up to make him look old, balding and overweight. We learn through the course of Agent Carter what happened to Horton's 'The Synthetic Man' (which more than likely survived in some way shape or form to the present day). In AOU, Tony merges the AI Jarvis with his likeness into that 'syntetic man' and poof...instant Vision.

Or SOMETHING like that, I hope..
