According to Entertainment Weekly, TRON: Legacy star Matt Ward has joined the cast of season three of Arrow as Simon Lacroix, a character better known to comic book fans as the villainous Komodo. Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino's recent run on the Green Arrow comic book series has portrayed the character as a protege of Robert Queen's who betrayed him and kidnapped his daughter to raise as his own. He too is skilled with a bow and arrow and recently pushed Oliver Queen right to the edge. In Arrow, "he’s a deadly mercenary using the code name Komodo, who wreaks havoc in Starling City." Marc Guggenheim shed some light on his role in the series, adding: "Yes, he’s the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you’ll see that Team Arrow’s pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline. You’re going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the-week episodes have done in the past." It should be interesting to see how much inspiration they take from the comics for Komodo's small screen debut. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts on this news below...

i hate when they don't put a picture of who they're talking about. like, that thumbnail closeup of a face doesn't really tell me anything.
IISuperSlothII - 8/19/2014, 11:32 AM
He too is skilled with a **box** and arrow and recently pushed Oliver Queen right to the edge

Snake, is that you?

McGee, as long as nothing's falling off I'd say you're good.
TheDudeRusty - 8/19/2014, 11:37 AM
It's funny how there's so many guys that use a bow in comics. I guess they haven't heard of the revolutionary invention known as a gun before.
RedNTheHood - 8/19/2014, 11:39 AM
I'm great at Box and Arrow too!!!

AlphaAndDecima - 8/19/2014, 11:44 AM
"He too is skilled with a box and arrow"

That's some damn talent right there.

And calling it, Komodo is a member of the League of Assassins.
McGee - 8/19/2014, 11:44 AM
No!

He said gonorrhea!

AlphaAndDecima - 8/19/2014, 11:48 AM
A bit of fun here:

Simon(Komodo) created Stellmoor International, whereas on Arrow, Isabel Rochev worked for Stellmoor International while being a part of Slade's plan to ultimately ruin Oliver's life.
RextheKing - 8/19/2014, 12:05 PM
Turn Simon into Remy and I'll be really happy.
RextheKing - 8/19/2014, 12:08 PM
@SpecialKail agreed.
blackagar94 - 8/19/2014, 12:23 PM
So Slade who is supposed to be a mercenary was turned into a big time buisness man, and Lacroix, a buisness man in the comics is now a mercenary in the show ? ... If you take the show without the comics, it's a great superhero show, but they messed up a lot of comic characters. If you use Komodo as a simple vilain of the week, he loeses what makes him interesting (his ties to the Queen family, and his superiority to Oliver). We'll see, he'll probably be enjoyable, but far from the comic character.

ComicsBornAndBred - 8/19/2014, 4:56 PM
He needs to be a major villian. Have they not read the ew 52?? Hopefully he evolves into a big villain. Don't like his intro as a villian of the week. We know te producers love Batman VILLIANS though more than GA's haha
megabatfan - 8/19/2014, 6:01 PM
His arc in the comics is fantastic! I hope they expand more on his role in season 3, rather than just the villain if the week. I was hopin he was the big bad for season 3 before Ra's was announced. Bummer!
But yeah, season 3 is so for lookin set to top season 2. & season 2 was bad ass
MercSoul - 8/19/2014, 9:23 PM

ANOTHER fucckin archer? Jesus H, the show was super solid for 1.5 seasons, but has fallen off a cliff.

Still not as bad as 'made for TV' SHIELD though...
jimdotbeep - 8/20/2014, 8:54 PM
Holly Crap a Green Arrow villain on CW's "Arrow"! That's certainly a change of pace.
alamborn19 - 8/20/2014, 9:18 PM
onemonopoeia where r u?
and please give us Cobalt Blue in flash
AlphaAndDecima - 8/23/2014, 3:09 PM
@alamborn19

"onemonopoeia where r u?"

That will never happen. Mr. Blank from first season's "Home Invasion" was meant to be that character, until the producers were shown a quote from Kevin Smith who said Onomatopoeia could never work outside the comics, so in respect of Smith, who created the character, they changed their character's name to just Mr. Blank.
