The Flash on Sky1

Arrow airs on Sky 1 in the UK, and with a crossover confirmed between that and The Flash, it seemed inevitable that The CW series would be joining that show on the same channel. There's no confirmed air date as of yet, but based on past experience, it will probably reach the UK only a week or two later than when it hits the US this October. The above promo poster has also been officially released after originally being spotted on the floor of this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

I like the suit, but Gustin's head or the cowl looks a tad bigger (and distracting).

Noticeable nitpick

Riley Freeman doing the Booty Dance is in order.

Teraman182 - 8/22/2014, 5:04 AM
Channel 5....well that's a massive fail already! The Flash will be popular on Sky 1
Orehrepus - 8/22/2014, 5:07 AM
Even more nitpicking.

Do you know that sprinters make an effort to keep their palms open and not balled into a fist when they run?

Not really their fault on this one since that's how The Flash has always been drawn in the comics, with his hands crunched tight into fists. It looks better, I suppose, more action looking, than spread palms. Oh well...

I dont care because I watch them online the next day after it airs in america, I aint waiting weeks to watch the pilot and then being weeks behind america and for this site spoiling the episodes ahead of the UK
Doopie - 8/22/2014, 5:12 AM
I also watch online but the fact Gotham is on C5 is a bit worrying as no-one will watch it
0megaDaGod - 8/22/2014, 5:13 AM
The promo material for this show is lightyears ahead of Arrow

Almost movie quality
NovaCorpsFan - 8/22/2014, 5:18 AM
Predicted it'd be Sky 1. So is Arrow, it makes sense.
MrAmeriBrit - 8/22/2014, 5:20 AM
Warning British jokes incoming
Doopie - 8/22/2014, 5:29 AM
The only nation that runs more efficiently through a world war than through a snow storm.

All you need to say about Britain really

Can I just point out, you never actually mention in this article that The Flash will air on Sky1, you just kind of hint at it.

infact you put this;

"Arrow airs on Sky 1 in the UK, and with a crossover confirmed between that and The Flash, it seemed inevitable that The CW series would be joining that show on the same channel."

Before even saying it was on sky1 so the sentence had 0 context.

All you Brits think you're better than us 'Muricans because you have free health care and better public education and more attractive women.

Well guess what...we're number one in obesity. So eat it!

Because if you don't, we will eat it.
MightyZeus - 8/22/2014, 5:48 AM
Flash don't look so bad. Flash actually look really good.
Doopie - 8/22/2014, 5:58 AM
@McGee

we also have a lot of fatties over here. It's okay though cuz if you strike out with the attractive ladies in a club, at least there's something to go home with

DCGuy - 8/22/2014, 7:09 AM
@Doopie is Sky 1 watched by a lot of people?
SuperDude001 - 8/22/2014, 7:19 AM
Well it's bound to be making a lot of money then, I know Sky always pay a load for their shows, although tbh I've never heard anyone actually watch shows on that channel. Even those I know that can afford Sky, I never hear them talking about the other shows on it.
And Gotham on Channel 5? Well no one is going to be watching that. Doesn't mean it sucks, Castle (in it's 5th season) and the Walking Dead (on 5th or 4th isn't it?) are on there and they're popular in America, just means it's not going to get any UK popularity.
blackandyellow - 8/22/2014, 7:19 AM
@McGee

Actually I saw on the news yesterday that the ISIS terrorist that beheaded James Foley was a British national. This only means one thing ... we have to go to war with the Brits and wipe them off the map.

We'll grant amnesty to cipher. The rest are screwed.
V8ER - 8/22/2014, 7:22 AM
@SuperCat Why hasn't Segal entered the Olympics yet?
Doopie - 8/22/2014, 7:30 AM
@DCGuy

Yes it is
MrDonut - 8/22/2014, 7:32 AM
Gotham on Channel 5? Shit's dead in the water already...
SuperCat - 8/22/2014, 8:08 AM
LOL @ V8ER

I've been wondering the same thing!
V8ER - 8/22/2014, 8:53 AM
@SuperCat haha he'd give Usain Bolt a run for his money.
GentlemanlyBatman - 8/22/2014, 9:32 AM
Thank goodness it's on the same channel, otherwise the crossover episodes would be weirdly spaced out between channels and likely different air times. Imagine waiting weeks for the second part of a crossover
MrBlackjack - 8/22/2014, 9:33 AM
This guy reminds me of Gustin
seamuskeaneart - 8/22/2014, 11:09 AM
