So, it may not be the exact replica that many of us were hoping for, but this Dancing Groot toy from Marvel and Funko is still pretty damn cool! There will likely be a huge demand for this when it does go on sale (there aren't any details on that as of yet unfortunately), but it thankfully doesn't appear to be a convention exclusive which opportunists can later sell for 10x its value on eBay. Regardless, if you're a parent, don't be surprised if this is all your kids are nagging you for this holiday season...

Wow, they screwed that up pretty bad. It looks like a strange, big-headed anime version.
rabid - 8/22/2014, 2:02 PM
What the hell is that monstrosity? The movie version wasn't good enough?
GentlemanlyBatman - 8/22/2014, 2:06 PM

All of this line of toys is designed like that. Moreover, most bobbleheads have an exaggerated head. It's not meant to go with you Hot Toys collectibles ppl. Calm it down...
JoeInTheBox - 8/22/2014, 2:11 PM
"first" official...
unknownguy - 8/22/2014, 2:12 PM

DamianWayne - 8/22/2014, 2:16 PM

huexolotl - 8/22/2014, 2:33 PM
So, did groot die? is that a new groot? Why was rocket crying so much? I dont understand this part of the movie.
jimoakley666 - 8/22/2014, 2:35 PM
Utter shite. Give us a proper replica.
Ramiel - 8/22/2014, 2:35 PM
Are people here really unfamiliar with the Funko Pop toys? Anyways, I will be getting this.
McNyagano - 8/22/2014, 2:36 PM
@huexolotl

Rocket was crying because he thought Groot was dead. Groot scarificed himself but Rocket got a piece of the wood that came from Groot's caccoon and planted that and voila, Groot was reborn. So in a way, yeah Groot is 'new' if that makes sense.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 8/22/2014, 2:36 PM
That's just a bobblehead.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 8/22/2014, 2:37 PM
Slow ass news day.
Saintsinnister - 8/22/2014, 2:56 PM
The Fuk? From the moment I seen it I knew I wanted a movie version lookalike, this is not what I imagined. Just do it, and do it right marvel.
marcvader1 - 8/22/2014, 2:58 PM
You prepubescent morons think this'll be the only Dancing Groot toy Marvel will have made? STFU

Really hoping they release an official movie one that is similar size and does the dance. This is cool, and it's close, but no cigar.
sKeemAn - 8/22/2014, 3:24 PM
Nope, i want the one thats from the movie. If it ain't that one forget it.
sKeemAn - 8/22/2014, 3:26 PM
I want a dancing one that dances when it "hears" music or sound. A bobblehead Groot is not the same thing.
CaptShipwreck - 8/22/2014, 3:37 PM
Fail ... Not epic fail but fail .... It needs to be an actual dancing groot
CyberBishop - 8/22/2014, 3:40 PM
I am sure they will do another version as well.. Jeez..
SageMode - 8/22/2014, 3:44 PM

:due to popular demand!!"

this was designed and licensed and ready for manufacture before a single frame of film was shot, as the film was made to sell toys.

A film even Marvel considered a risk was made just so they could sell toys. You heard it here first, folks.
TheAbomination - 8/22/2014, 4:22 PM
Bitches are totally gonna buy that. Bitches love Groot.
NeoBaggins - 8/22/2014, 4:25 PM
Won't be hard to get. Wake me when the Official, actual, dancing GROOT arrives.
