Austin Butler Joins Season Three Of ARROW As [SPOILER]'s New Love Interest
We know that the upcoming third season will see Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak try to make a go of it as a couple, but who else is getting a new romantic interest this year? Well, we won't spoil it for you here, but you can get all the details on this latest bit of casting after the jump!
The last time we saw Thea Queen in Arrow, she was with her biological father Malcolm Merlyn, a.k.a. The Dark Archer. She's since been spotted in trailers for season three training, leading many to believe that she will align herself with him against The Arrow. Well, according to Deadline, Austin Butler has now joined the series in a recurring role which will see him play a charismatic DJ whose talent and wiles catch the attention of Thea Queen. Their "professional" relationship will quickly blossom into a romance, so could this be a sign that she will be returning to Verdant and making amends with her brother? Or is she back as a spy for Malcolm? We'll have to wait and see! Butler has previously appeared in The Carrie Diaries and Switched At Birth. What do you think?
