Tom Hardy Eyed For 'Apocalypse' Role In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE
Bryan Singer is back on board X-Men: Apocalypse, and now it seems the first name has emerged for who he wants to play the titular villain. It's a man familiar with playing comic book bad guys in fact; The Dark Knight Rises' Tom Hardy. Read on for details...
Tom Hardy is very much in demand right now, as he fields offers for both Marvel's Doctor Strange and DC Comics' Suicide Squad. However, The Wrap now reports that the former is looking very unlikely due to that fact that he is fielding an offer from 20th Century Fox to play Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse, Bryan Singer's highly anticipated follow-up to X-Men: Days of Future Past. It's far from a done deal at this point of course, but it's an exciting prospect, especially when you think back to his take on Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. As both Suicide Squad and X-Men: Apocalypse come out in the same year, he'll likely be forced to choose one or the other and the former sounds more like a sure thing right now. Who would you guys most like to see Hardy play?
