NYSSA RETURNS TO STARLING CITY, RA’S AL GHUL MAKES HIS ENTRANCE — A furious Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) confronts Oliver (Stephen Amell) about Sara. When Oliver learns Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) is alive, he suspects Merlyn killed Sara. Oliver and Nyssa join forces and go after the Dark Archer, intent on bringing Sara’s killer to justice. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) keeps her distance from Nyssa, as she blames her sister’s death on her involvement with the League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Oliver and Roy (Colton Haynes) work on repairing their respective relationships with Thea (Willa Holland), who has returned home. Nyssa discusses Oliver with her father, Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable). John Behring directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Marc Guggenheim (#304).

I can't believe the show has Arrow call Merlyn a killer. Has Arrow forgotten that he is a serial killer? Hilarious!

Lol. He's pretty persistent with his trolling. It's best to troll back rather than try and be reasonable.

@ManDeth

The motivation for serial killing is usually based on psychological gratification.
Lol, nice try. but that ain't what the Arrow does. Dude doesn't even kill anymore.

I think @TheAmericanPatriot was under the impression that they were calling Arrow the Dark Archer now. I can see the confusion if you weren't familiar with the comic or show.

Y'all wanna know who I think killed Sarah?? Of course you do!!

Brace yourselves...

Thea MFing Merlyn!!
(she changed her middle name when she changed her last name)

Thea's training scenes were flashbacks, it's possible. Sarah clearly recognized her killer. Think about it! Sarah is a badass, if she felt in danger at all upon seeing her killer, she would've at least tried to throw down.

Plus, how great a twist will it be when Oliver realizes he's helping Nyssa hunt down Thea. He'll have a change of heart, Nyssa will not. Oliver could kill Nyssa to stop her from killing Thea. This would explain how/why Ra's becomes the main villain. Oliver may be forced to work with Thea and by association, Merlyn. Only question I have is if they're trying to "redeem" Merlyn's character. As it stands now, Ra's knows Merlyn is alive and wants him dead, but Ra's has no substantial reason to oppose Oliver. Especially since Nyssa is working with Oliver.

It has to be someone that knows that Sarah is also the Black Canary..................

Malcom Merlyn was in Corto Maltese when Sara was killed.

Also, her the killer's voice sounded nothing like Malcom Merlyn's.

Ra's al Ghul killed Sara. She tried to break away from the League of Assassins, so he killed her.

@ADv2point0 Even if Oliver lived a 1000 years and never killed again, he'll always be a serial killer. A boring serial killer.

"A serial killer is typically defined as a person who murders three or more people over a period of more than 30 days, with a "cooling off" period between each murder, and whose motivation for killing is largely based on psychological gratification.
CHECK!!! Arrow targeted and killed at least 4 persons per month. He
cooled off" 1 week per target. His gratification came from killing Dad's enemies.

Other sources define the term as "a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone" or, including the vital characteristics, a minimum of at least two murders. Often, a sexual element is involved with the killings, but the FBI states that motives for serial murder include "anger, thrill, financial gain, and attention seeking."
CHECK!!! Oliver dressed up as Robin Hood with a painted face and attention getting techniques.

The murders may have been attempted or completed in a similar fashion and the victims may have had something in common; for example, occupation, race, appearance, sex, or age group.

CHECK and MATE!!!! Oliver preferred to kill with his trademark green Arrows. Each target was a 1 percenter listed in his father's book.

Oliver IS a serial killer in the Ted Kaczynski mold but with a much higher kill count than Kaczynski's 3 kills. Like Kaczynski, Oliver felt 100% justified that his killings were for the better good of the world. Kaczynski exhibited delusional thinking involving being controlled by modern technology. Oliver also exhibited delusional thinking that involved being a vigilante that was simply murdering people for to protect society.

So Kaczynski set out to kill to protect society from technology and Oliver sought to protect society from names on a list and to avenge his father. Both considered themselves to be in the right and therefor above the law.

In Season 2 of Arrow Oliver Queen made a decision to no longer kill. Real life serial killers have also attempted to end their killing ways. Jeffrey Dahmer tried multiple times to stop killing and went years between some murders. Ted Bundy also made attempts to deescalate his pathological urges but like Oliver did in Season 2, he resumed his killing.

Arrow is most definitely a murderer and serial killer despite any attempts he makes to stop killing.

The question is not if Oliver is a serial killer, but when he will kill again.

Can't even make it through a full episode of this emo, pathetic, poorly acted and badly directed shitstorm.

You people are delusional.

Well, @MrDeadRabbit, it's a show about a superhero (Green Arrow) that can't even call him by his character's name.

The acting is PAINFULLY stilted, and that Felicity makes me wish Oliver Queen would put an arrow right between her eyes, which is rare for me to wish as a fate for such a beautiful woman.

To me the show just seems like High School Musical without the musical, and Green Arrow without, well, Green Arrow. Just some emo goth bullshit that, as you said, is aimed directly for the tweener demographic.

And it is just to laugh to hear someone compare this to Agents of SHIELD and claim that this low-dollar, badly directed 90210/OC knock-off with a weekly audience of less than fifteen percent of the weekly audience of AoS as the better of the two.

And, Josh, come on, ya leek-smoking Welshman. You crow each and every week that AoS is losing viewership, when the entire Arrow fanbase is less than the flutter of the ratings for AoS week-per-week.

;- )

Enjoy your limited audience, Arrowheads. AoS kicks Arrow's ass each and every single solitary week.
