Jeremy Renner has made his feelings clear when it comes to how Hawkeye was handled in The Avengers, but the archer will be getting a lot more to do in the sequel a little later this year according to both the actor and writer/director Joss Whedon. Here's hoping Renner gets to show off some of the witty personality he displayed at the Golden Globes last night, as his comment about J-Lo's, ahem, "Golden Globes" quickly went viral (the singer turned actress recently revealed her desire to play a superhero role). Also below is Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch once again putting his expert photobombing skills to use behind Into the Woods star Meryl Streep...

It's really a shame that Renner got forced into generic action star between Cross in the Bourne films, Mission Impossible and Hawkeye. He plays great villains and has great comic timing. It wouldn't be near as bad if Hawkeye were given any respect in the Marvel movies. Hopefully AOU makes better use of him.
