The CW has released a new clip from next week's episode of The Flash, and it features the first meeting between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Linda Park (Malese Jow) as the Scarlet Speedster finally finds a new love away from Iris West (Candice Patton). Hit the jump to check it out!

LOVE IS IN THE AIR — Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) decides that she and Barry (Grant Gustin)need to move on from Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Iris (Candice Patton) and find newloves so she takes him for a night out at the local karaoke bar. Caitlin doesn’t have any luck makinga love connection but Barry meets Linda Park (guest star Malese Jow), a sports reporter for theCentral City Picture News, and asks her out on a date. When Barry tells Iris he has a date, Iris issurprised by her reaction. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Ramon) considers Hartley’s (guest star AndyMientus) dangerous offer and the team searches for Shawna (guest star Britne Oldford), a meta-human with teleportation powers, who just busted her boyfriend Clay (guest star Micah Parker) outof Iron Heights. When Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipps) snoops around in an attempt to helpJoe (Jesse L. Martin) and Barry solve the crime, he ends up in the infirmary after getting roughed upby inmates. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Linda Park is the wife of Wally West but the writers chose her to be Barry's girlfriend when they could have chose Patty Spivot, an actual girlfriend of Barry Allen in the comics. To me, this shows me that the writers have no plans on introducing the character (or at least in the capacity he was in the comics).

I also feel using Wally would just be a repeat of the Roy Harper plot from, especially if they follow the New 52 Wally. A way better sidekick for the show would be Bart Allen

DexterNetmanFlint is, and has always been a RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC, bile regurgitating, narcissistic, pestering douche nozzle. The regulars on this site (and I know who they are, I’ve been around a while…) have tried every freakin method short of psychotherapy to get the guy to make nice and finally ran out of gas!

They finally figured out that the mods tolerate his behavior to a point, but the point is waaaaaaay back there for the rest of us.

FYI “Man”tinium of ginger el, is only slightly less annoying and abusive.

Ok I'm confused isn't Park married to Wally in the comics? But on the show they have Joe and Iris who is the wife of Barry in the comics and.... Crap the history of the whole Flash family is so damn confusing, I hope they keep it simple for my slow ass.

Actually, I've called for Mantinium's head before. What I learned, however, is when he crosses the line, you can call him on the bullshit and he'll stop. Mantinium, also, does not repetitively post homophobic comments. Netman did. I tried to engage him and see if he could get past it. What I got in return were insults to my intelligence and statements that I must be "gay" because I was okay with Ezra Miller's casting. There is a big difference between Mantinium and Netman.

I say "him" but I really know to whom I am speaking ;)
