HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research – and forty-six earlier Agent clones -- endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

Directed by Aleksander Bach, Hitman: Agent 47 also stars Hannah Ware and Thomas Kretschmann. It's set to be released on August 28th. What do you guys think about this new poster for the movie?

I see what they tried to do there, but I'm not feeling it.

The trailer made it look like the coolest movie of 2003. I wish someone would make a good video game movie.

@Calculon - If Drakes Fortune ever gets out of development hell, that will be an awesome movie.

@ALegendaryPanda - I've read the script and....oh, boy. The first half is a Terminator ripoff. They tried to make us think that 47 is a villain, well later we find out that he is not (what a twist, main protagonist of the video games that this film is based on is not a villain????).

And Silent Assassin term should be forgotten for good. If you thought that in the first film he wasn't that silent, in this one you might became def.

I was expecting a good comment, but it's just Dio. Thanks for nothing.

@ALegendaryPanda Me too. If it isn't good I'm sure The Last of Us movie will be amazing! It's being written by Neil Druckman who wrote the game himself. Not some Hollywood writer that barely knows the source material. It's the greatest game ever and it has Sam Raimi producing, a horror master.

@Grif an astute observation!

can we say it together? "shit movie"

this also applies to Jurassic worldshlong, Terminator 5 and Ant-man

@Jollem - Not a Burn sadly. But props to you for owning it. Watch it on bluray and look closely how the shots are carefully framed and that will uncover another layer of the movie.

Half-Point? That deserves at least 2/3 and a cheap hooker.

Video Game movies needed
1 Gears of war
2 Infamous
3 Uncharted
4 The Last of US (even though I wouldn't mind it not getting made seeing as it is a masterpiece)
5 God of war
and i would have like to have seen a bioshock movie but looks like that may never happen

People who like the game will hate this movie, but people who didn't play the games are probably gonna love it. Sort of like the Resident Evil Film Franchise. This movie will find an audience.

I just played and finished Hitman: Absolution a couple of months ago. Great game.

This movie doesn't look like how a Hitman movie should look. Also, it just looks plain bad.
