THE SHIELD's Michael Chiklis Lands Key Series Regular Role In Season Two Of GOTHAM
He played corrupt cop Vic Mackey in The Shield, but now Fantastic Four (the 2005 version, not the upcoming reboot) Michael Chiklis has landed a key role in season two of Gotham as a member of the Gotham City Police Department. Hit the jump for details on his role...
TV Line reveals that Michael Chiklis is coming to season two of Gotham in the series regular role of Captain Nathaniel Barnes. However, don't expect to see the actor rehash his beloved character from The Shield because it sounds like he will be a major ally to Detective Jim Gordon...at least at first! According to the official description, Barnes "lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force. He is a law and order zealot; unafraid of making enemies – on either side of the law. For Gordon, Barnes is a hero and a mentor, someone with whom he can share the burden of heroism. Captain Barnes proves himself to be a strong ally to Gordon… but one day he will make an equally powerful enemy." An enemy? It sounds like an interesting twist is on the way then! We'll find out more when the show returns this Fall...
