So after reading comments on the Dubai Theme Park. I thought I would shed some light on middle east comics. There are 2 major series in the Middle east for comics. No the middle east isn't all about money, oil, terrorism, etc. I could go on & on. But this is strictly a COMIC POST.
Ayman Kandeel was raised in Egypt & founder of Ak Comics,(Site underconstruction-recently)

Zien: The Last Pharaoh
"Zein was born in 14,000 B.C to a powerful King, Ra-Ez in an era of enlightenment and technological advancement. Zein’s ancient world vanished in a cataclysmic event (known as the 'Great Collision'), when a large meteor destroyed everything and left earth uninhabitable for several millennium."

Aya: The Princess of Darkness
"Little Rania Mokhtar was traumatized when her father was shot by mobsters in front of her eyes. To make things worse, her mother was falsely accused and received a life sentence. These were the grounds for her tough nature and drive to stand up against all evil." Kind of like Batman The Dark Knight.

Jalia: Protector of the City of All Faiths
"Sixteen year old Ansam Dajani was the sole survivor in the horrific Dimondona nuclear blast at the end of the ‘55 Year War’, thanks to an anti-radiation suit designed by her father. The suit was only designed to protect against radiation, and not a full-scale nuclear explosion. This gave her nuclear Super Powers."

Rakan: The Lone Warrior
"Rakan the solemn warrior wanders the deserts of Medieval Arabia and Persia. He is a product of excruciating times, as a crippled child, he witnessed a barbarian attack on his nomadic tribe. Weak and asthmatic, he had little chance of survival until a saber-tooth, rescued him and raised him with her own cub Arameh." Similar to Conan.

The 99: Are base on a team of super heroes based on Islamic Culture & Religion

Spock-So u see they do have comic characters, some may be similar to all of the other well know characters we all known & love. You have to start somewhere I guess.
