Joe Carnahan Talks NEMESIS; Makes Fantastic Casting Suggestion For Blake Morrow

The A-Team director clears up the status of Nemesis and reveals which Batman Begins star he and Mark Millar think would make the perfect Detective Blake Morrow.

"I’ll say this, Mark and I are in discussions," the director told Collider of the current status of Nemesis in a recent interview while promoting his latest movie, The Grey. "I’ll say I’ve never lost interest in Nemesis. He and I both fell victim to a kind of executive breach of trust that took place that it’s not even worth commenting on. That was a classic example of "he said, he said." That’s an ongoing development."

Brad Pitt was initially rumoured as a possible Blake Morrow (the police detective who faces off against Nemesis throughout the four issue series) but it seems that both Carnahan and creator Mark Millar have someone else in mind altogether now. "You know it’s funny—and I’ll let this cat out of the bag just for you—Mark Millar and I were talking about Nemesis and I had mentioned that I think a particularly fantastic Blake Morrow would be Liam Neeson." F*ck yeah! Cast Neeson as Morrow then cast Sam Witwer or Cillian Murphy as Nemesis!

i only read the graphic novel the other day,millar does put alot of stuff in his books just for the shock value.

neeson would be great as morrow,i don't know who i would cast as nemesis.

Great chioce. Nemesis is amazing. This NEEDS to be a movie. Before any other Millar based book.
If you havent read it, quit your job immeaditly, go out to a comic book store and buy it now!!

I think Neeson is a pretty good choice, and I can see Cillian Murphy as Nemesis as well.

Russell Crowe would be a good Morrow. Brad Pitt would be great for Nemesis, looks too young for Morrow.

he's a very good actor, specially with thrillers. he's one of my favorites of all time and i do think he'll be perfect. reason like roles like in Unknown, Cloie, even B.B.

Damn it! I was thinking of doing a Nemesis fan-cast and had Liam Neeson for Blake Morrow and I feel like if I do it now it'll look like I'm just casting Neeson because of this, but no doubt Neeson would be fantastic in this role.

Guy Pierce,Bradley Cooper, Michael C Hall, and even Sam Rockwell (would just have to make him look tall on camera) would all do swell as Nemesis!

All corny jokes that end with Liam Neeson speaking one of the greatest lines ever aside, I think he would be a great choice for this role

Some seriously good casting suggestions in the comments section. It sounds generic but the one that stood out was Bale & Oldman...although I'm not sure they'd do a photo-negative version of Batman! Would be funny to see it played out that way though!

Neeson would be perfect. The genuine niceness of this character along with the real world underlyings would be a perfect marriage of actor and character.

Nemesis...my vote would be for Jeffery Donovan, Neil Patrick Harris, or Timothy Olyphant.
