Casino Royale was great, Quantum of Solace was fantastic. Shame people never read the books to get the point of the movie. All most know of Bond is the version they manipulated for the movies that's nothing like the original character.

Somehow he manages to look like bond despite looking nothing like the dark haired clean shaven man that 40 years of films lead us to expect. He looks like he could be the man I imagined while reading casino royale years ago, and a class act like Mendes should deliver. High hopes for this.

@ Ceejay

I like your name. :)

Agree that Casino Royale was great, but Quantum of Solace truly wasn't, a 6/10 at most.

Quantum wasn't great but I think it had it's moments. The fight on the scaffolding at the start of the movie was particularly cool.

@Ceejay

Judging from the comments I've read from you this week, you must think you're smarter than the average CBM user. Your comment today doesn't prove that you are in fact smarter than us. The problem with QoS that most seem to have was that it was boring. Novels and motion picture are two different mediums. The 007 people want to see in cinemas is the "manipulated" version. Accept change for the better :)

And fyi, this isn't the first time that Craig's Bond has been armed with a PPK. He used one for much of QoS.

is this production running under B23 LOC or FH UNIT? I've seen signs in familiar areas and would like to know whats in the works :)

@BmanHall : He apparently signed to play in 7 or 8 Bond movie total... he's not that close to his end.

The picture looks great and I hope the movie will be good too!
MovieMann

With Roger Deakins doing the Cinematography for this film it is assured to look amazing.

@BmanHall : I don't know. Pierce Brosnan did his last James Bond movie when he was 50. Craig looks like he's more in shape than Brosnan, so let's see... if he does a movie every 2 years (Casino Royale 2006, QOS 2008 and the other one was due for 2010-11 but because of MGM, they could not do this movie back then) and considering Daniel is 44 years-old.. I think he might be able to do 2 to 4 other Bond movies, IMO. It would make it a count from 5 to 6 movies. What do you think ?
Ryuuzaki
Ryuuzaki - 2/1/2012, 10:11 AM
It would make it a count of 5 to 7 movies, my bad

I'm 37, so I'm hardly a kid, but I thought Craig was told old in Casino Royale- don't get me wrong, I LOVED the film, but if you're doing an origin story, or a prequel Bond, then he ought to be younger. He doesn't have to be popping zits and chewing gum, but he shouldn't be pushing 45, either. Just my opinion. Anyway, let's just hope this is as good as Casino and WAY better than Quantum.

Bond looks bad ass right there. And he's using the Walther PPK again, nice.
