First Poster For THE WOLVERINE Revealed?

A photo reportedly taken in the office of director James Mangold seemingly reveals the very first teaser poster for Hugh Jackman's return as the iconic Marvel character in The Wolverine.

Screen Rant have unearthed what may just be the first teaser poster for The Wolverine. Posted on Instragram, the picture (which the site have cleared up a little) was apparently taken in the offices of director James Mangold and clearly depicts a Japanese flag being sliced by Wolverine's claws. With production not scheduled to begin until Fall, it does seem a little early for a teaser poster. However, it's not as if this was released officially!



They've contacted Fox for some sort of confirmation about its validity, so stay tuned for any further details. If it is fan made, it's a damn good effort! What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

I think it's to early for any official artwork like this considering they haven't even finished casting it yet..but if it is indeed from Mangold's office then it might be something he is considering using. It's pretty cool anyway.

Yeah this poster isnt all that great, it kinda looks Fan made.

It shouldnt follow Origins and if it did I feel terrible for Jackman.

I really hope this movie is good, anything will be better than Origins, but it would be cool to see an R-rated grittier Wolverine movie, even though that's highly unlikely.

Can't wait for this movie. it should be a million times better than the last and it's Bastardisation of a plethera of beloved comic book characters and "Origins".

@MarVell I've been saying the same thing since production on the last Wolverine movie! Part of his personality is his animalistic brutality. To make a truly great Wolverine film, that can't be ignored. I wish Aronofski was still involved, he could've made the best film worthy of the title "The Wolverine!"

I would laugh if they completely say, "[frick] you" to Origins and do the real Japan story with Yuriko, Silver Samurai (confirmed), and the brown and Tan costume, though a Kimono would be fine.

Sick of Hugh Jackman after Origins. Hell I was sick of him as Wolverine before that. Could care less about this movie which is a shame because I've always loved "the Japan story" oh well more of the song & dance man I guess.

I'll wait to pass judgment when I see a trailer first. I like continuity, and Jackman is a good actor and he's also committed to this character with a passion. I'll give him another chance.

The film version of wolverine will always suck if Jackman is playing him. Hes too soft and doesn't fit the archtype "short, ugly and bitter"

Fake or not, it looks better than anything in Wolvie: Origins. Any good voodoo spells to insure this next Wolverine won't suffer from suck like the last one?
