The guys over at Empire Online have compiled nearly 50 movie poster mashups featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The Men Who Stare At Loki? S.H.I.E.L.D. Of Dreams? The Stark Knight? Here are a selection of the best.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures Marvel’s The Avengers--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

I thought the Watchmen one was the original Watchmen poster when i saw Stark. Robert Downey Jr looks alot like Jeffrey dean Morgan(?)

This poster looks actually REALLY good for an Iron Man film. At least for the basis. Look at it.



Maybe a modified version of something similar to this for Iron Man 3 would be PERFECT.

Funny to see these today. Over the weekend I watched the (abhorrent, intolerable, and truly awful) Sherlock Holmes sequel, and I noticed an interesting similarity:

It can't possibly be a coincidence -- the makeup job is way too close on Downey (and, don't forget, even smeared makeup is carefully put on in different scenes so that it looks consistent from shot to shot). Was Downey up for the Joker role at some point?

somebody should do an all-EDDIE MURPHY Avengers poster..hehe

anyway..here's a new set of cast for Iron Man, if the original should decide to move on...

- (a slimmed down) Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Tony Stark/Iron Man [though, he's not so much in the comedy dept.]
- Jessica Chastain as Virginia "Pepper" Potts
- Morris Chestnut as James "Rhodey" Rhodes
- Seth Rogen as Happy Hogan
- Johnny Depp as Gregory Stark [the long lost brother to Tony, who hates his brother's guts to the bone..from the 'ultimate' universe. actually, if they wanna do a gregory stark thing WITH rdj as tony, they could cast jdm]
- Paul Bettany (still remaining) as the voice of JARVIS
- Cobie Smulders as shield DIRECTOR Maria Hill

for me..currently marvel has got the avengers cast SPOT ON. the only ones that i can still think of alternates to are:

- Channing Tatum as Steve Rogers/Cap'n America, instead of Chris Evans

- (a beefed up) Olga Kurylenko as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow

- Scott Porter (from Friday Night Lights) as a more pompous Clint Barton/Hawkeye

ps: oh yeah..i also wanna see a Lord of the Rings poster with the avengers cast too..!!! that'll be AWESOME.
