Guess Who Else Contributed To THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN's Script?

James Vanderbilt (Zodiac), Alvin Sargent (Spider-Man 3) and Steve Kloves (Harry Potter) will all get writing credits, but it turns out that The Amazing Spider-Man's screenplay had a little help from a well known comedy director. Hit the jump to find out who.

Last year, Bridesmaids was a bigger hit than anyone could have possibly imagined, receiving almost unanimous critical acclaim and becoming a hit at the box office after opening up at a strong #2 behind THOR. The film was directed by Paul Feig, who let slip a very interesting piece of information while talking to Vulture at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. "I'm looking forward to The Amazing Spider-Man," he said, adding that he's such a good friend of director Marc Webb, he actually ended up making a contribution to the film's script. "He's a great guy, he invited me on set, and I did a little bit of writing for that movie, for one of the high school scenes, so I'm excited." What do you guys think? James Vanderbilt was the main writer, I think. He worked on the story and screenplay. Everyone else sort of added stuff, etc...

Bridesmaids was average. The only thing passable was a fat bird taking a dump in a sink.

And if I wanted to see that I'd just go to one of the local nightclubs.

They could put Fisk is the ASM and then have the same Fisk in DareDevil.

@teabag Shit, I didn't look the other way. I've always been baffled by his name being attached to the Dark Knight AND Blade Trinity. Maybe his writing is better than his directing.

There's one part in Blade Trinity that makes me want to put my foot through the TV screen.

It was awful...well....at least the first half hour that I struggled to make it through and then wrote it off as a wasted Netflix dvd. It's rare that I can't struggle to make it all the way through a film. Bridesmaids was one of the exceptions. I don't get what all the hoopla was about.

Really? Bridesmaids almost got me to the theater on a lazy Sunday. Now I kinda glance at it walking by the redbox. I should let it go, huh? Thanks for the heads up.

Bridesmaids was actually a pretty solid movie. I didn't laugh nearly as much as my fiance though, but I know of plenty other guys who loved it. It's considered to be the female Hangover, but it's a very loose comparison IMO. Thing is, like Tea, I wasn't a huge fan of the Hangover movie myself. Didn't even see the sequel. Like Bridesmaids, the first Hangover movie was solid, but I didn't die of laughter watching it.
