The Cast And Crew Of SKYFALL Arrive In Istanbul, Turkey; New Still Released

Daniel Craig, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and director Sam Mendes assembled in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday to discuss filming the 23rd Bond movie in the country and you can check out some highlights (along with a new still) here.

Talking to the press in Istanbul, Turkey; director Same Mendes has promised a return to the version of James Bond seen in Ian Fleming's original novels with Skyfall later this year. "What Fleming created was a very conflicted character," said Mendes. "Some of those things are explored in this movie because Daniel as an actor is capable of exploring them and I am interested in exploring them too. That was a big thing for me, having a Bond who I believed in, who I felt could take the character to a new level. I could imagine another actor and I wouldn't have wanted to do it." This is sure to come as good news to fans of the books who haven't enjoyed the sillier take on the spy over the years and you can check out some more revealing insights from the cast and crew in the press conference highlights below.




Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

I couldn't agree more. What a fantastic location for a movie about espionage and intrigue! If you have not been there, it is one of those amazing places you would regret not seeing. MOdern yet ancient. Beautiful people, great food, unbelievable history.
