Talking to Collider, Mark Ruffalo has confirmed that he is signed up to star in SIX Marvel Studios movies. As for deleted scenes, he added, "There's a great scene with me and Harry Dean Stanton. It's an elongated version of him finding me that is such a great scene. It was so heartbreaking to see it go. I knew exactly why it had to go, but Harry Dean Stanton is so beautiful in this scene and it's such a great moment for Banner. A real shift for him. It's his come to Jesus moment of the movie." He also talks about reading the script for the first time and the humour of the film, so be sure to check out the video interview above for that.

HellsHammer - 4/30/2012, 12:39 PM
im betting an IronMan 3 cameo
RorMachine - 4/30/2012, 12:39 PM
Dammit, I actually had a feeling there might have been more to that scene originally! Because we are kinda missing the push that Banner needs to get him to believe the Hulk can be a force for good, plus HDS is one of the true American legends.
nowtheresaBATman - 4/30/2012, 12:41 PM
Not surprising! Ruffalo stomped terra in The Avengers.

He's gotta be showing up in IM3 for atleast a cameo now.
headlopper - 4/30/2012, 12:43 PM
He has to be Banner/Hulk, so we can def expect more Hulk action in the future.

"Can I git an' AMEN! from the congregation!!"
Equivocal - 4/30/2012, 12:45 PM
Mark Ruffalo got a multi-deal picture with Marvel ???
I wonder what Ed Norton & Terrence Howard must be feeling now .....?

if there are more movies with the Hulk I want to see more of General Ross !!!
bbarber2323 - 4/30/2012, 12:46 PM

thewonderer - 4/30/2012, 1:13 PM

[frick] YOU FEIGE. Glad to know there are some Hulk lovers at marvel studios.
Marvelboyliam1981 - 4/30/2012, 1:20 PM
@ilovedcandmarvel althought your good points for the avengers were right your bad point were completely wrong. For starters he's a better banner then norton the cgi was fine weta are in no way the standard when it comes to cgi Caps suit was fine it was his helmet that looked like shit.
SoulAllFlush - 4/30/2012, 1:21 PM
I would watch Hulk solo films with Mark Ruffalo in the lead.
Ha1frican - 4/30/2012, 1:22 PM
I hope its 2 more Avengers (with 1 already on his belt) 2 more TIH's and a cameo somewhere else
Bomblu - 4/30/2012, 1:26 PM
I do not know where or when the IM3 hulk was debunked but if you just understand the "we all say goodbye" scene in the Avengers, i think the scene kind of paves the way for a Tony + Bruce relationship.
Pheezmatic - 4/30/2012, 1:27 PM
Isn't 2 of the defenders owned by other studios?
headlopper - 4/30/2012, 1:32 PM
@Ghostfire- Anutha' soul saved!

@Nomis- Classic! Good find!
KNIGHT3000 - 4/30/2012, 1:35 PM
Loved it, saw it last week. Hulk only transformed twice, but it was awesome, especially the 2nd time. that might be Hulk's best transform ever. Cap had the best lines, Tony was cooler than ever, and Thor RULED!

And thats a lot coming from someone who isn't a big fan of the Avengers
RorMachine - 4/30/2012, 1:37 PM
By the way, don't care what anyone says, The Leader is a [frick]ing ridiculous looking, rubbish villain:)
GodzillaKart - 4/30/2012, 1:42 PM
Can't wait to see this. It took me a while to come around to Ruffalo, but I was always unhappy with Norton. Norton seemed to have good ideas for TIH, but he can't seem to stop being Norton, a very physical guy and very different than Banner is supposed to be.
MassExecutions - 4/30/2012, 1:46 PM
@RorMachine - Yeah, he's kinda ridiculous looking now, but they thought that was how smart critters ought to look at the time. Remember the alien in the Twilight Zone episode, To Serve Man? High foreheads were in. Now its exposed brains that are more the trend, which is why they changed his look for awhile.

I think The Leader can be a pretty good villain, like in some of the early stories and when used on a bigger level, like the Gamma World arc on EMH. The problem is they had to keep coming up with ridiculous reasons for him to ONLY fight the Hulk. Forcing him into those confines ruins him sometimes by making him look like kind of an idiot.
Darkknight23 - 4/30/2012, 1:51 PM
Thank you Ironman 53
BlackFlash - 4/30/2012, 1:58 PM
I was never a fan of Norton as Banner something about him seemed out of place, but I've seen The Avengers twice now and the chemistry between Ruffalo and RDJ was perfect I couldn't seen it being that easy and relaxed if it was Norton.
RorMachine - 4/30/2012, 2:05 PM
Mass, yeah that's what I mean..they just ran they "superior intellect vs superior brawn" thing into the ground. I mean there were a few cool arcs back in the day when I used to read Hulk comics regularly, but overall I just think he's a very poor character. Unfortunately Hulk doesn't have the best Rogue's gallery so it's slim pickins, but I always thought Doc Samson made a good foe, even though he wasn't a "bad guy", might make for an interesting dynamic for a movie.
marvelmaniaco - 4/30/2012, 2:10 PM
If they make 3 hulk films I'd love to see the leader and creating gamma monsters for the hulk to fight!! Which he needs she hulk for!! I'd also love to see wendigo or Sasquatch!!! Then the third I'd love a planet hulk film!!! Would be amazing
Icaro - 4/30/2012, 2:12 PM
I saw the movie, yesteday and Hulk is...HULK. Thanks Joss Whedon, for that. THANKS!
CrimsonComedian - 4/30/2012, 2:12 PM
Leader employs the U-Foes. Would that be villain overload or no? I'm not quite sure, but I'd love to see it.
Odin - 4/30/2012, 2:19 PM
I was first sceptical about him as a Hulk, but he was exelent in Avengers.
CyberInflames - 4/30/2012, 2:19 PM
@iLoveMarvelAndDC: well Weta were involved in Avengers, and probably worked on the Hulk.
birdfists - 4/30/2012, 2:20 PM
I predict RULK, and Leader.
AC1 - 4/30/2012, 2:22 PM
@iLoveMarvelandDC yes, critical acclaim. As in all the critics loved his portrayal, not that you personally liked it.

Personally, I loved his portrayal. I think he was perfect, surprisingly even better than Edward Norton (the actor who allowed me to take the Hulk seriously as a character in the first place). I was extremely disappointed to hear Norton wouldn't be in Avengers, now I'm glad Ruffalo got the part instead. Norton was brilliant. Ruffalo is better. IMO.
