New Trailer For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Released

The second full length theatrical trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been released by Sony Pictures and it features tons of action packed new footage (including the Lizard) from Marc Webb's highly anticipated reboot of the franchise.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

	mrexcellent - 5/3/2012, 4:01 PM Login to report abuse By far the best trailer Sony has come out with. In general, it's just a really awesome trailer. I love the way Spider-man moves, it's so fast. The fight on the ceiling, the way that he sling shots himself back at the Lizard. I love the way that the camera follows him too. Speaking of the camera, the picture is looking extremely crisp... and I'm watching this on an old Dell monitor from like, 2003. I'm blown away. As far as the CGI goes overall, there were some choppy bits. The part where Peter is dangling of the bridge with the burning car looks fake, which is weird because they actually built their own bridge set. Also, some shots look like they have a guy on wires who has been digitally placed into the foreground. I mean, the wirework looks astounding in that it doesn't look like wirework, but the blending of the foreground object (Spider-man) with the background objects (the environment) looks like it needs improvement. This is just Sony imageworks. I will say, that in spite of those little nitpicks, I loved the trailer. The aesthetic of the settings and everything looks absolutely beautiful. TDKR's latest trailer got me really hyped up. I didn't think I'd be all that excited for the final Spidey trailer, but I'm happy to say that I thought wrong.

However for those wishing Marvel get the Spider-Man rights, I think you will be waiting a little longer by the longs of things.

Some sequences are plain awesome and it looks like it will be a very well crafted story between drama, charackter and action. Also, I definetly like this PP/SM a lot more from the trailers alone, than the Sam Raimi one, even though I liked thos movies. BUT, I watched it in 1080p and do the effects, like the burning car and the falling tower, look cheap or just so good that it's just confusing seeing stuff for real?

I think both movies look absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't be more excited about finally seeing The Avengers after school with my friends tomorrow. Us comic book fans are going to be in for a real treat these next few months, that's for sure. This is going to be such a great summer.
