It has been announced that Katie Cassidy (Supernatural) will star in The Scribbler, a film based on Daniel Schaffer's 2006 Image Comics graphic novel of the same name. The low budget adaptation begins filming later this week and also stars Garret Dillahunt (Winter's Bone), Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl), Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse), Gina Gershon (Killer Joe), Michael Imperioli (The Lovely Bones), Billy Campbell (The Killing), and former adult film star Sasha Grey (The Girlfriend Experience). The supporting cast is rounded out with Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), and T.V. Carpio (Limitless). John Suits will direct the screenplay which was written by Daniel Schaffer.

The Scribbler concerns Suki (Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using "The Siamese Burn", an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. The closer Suki comes to being "cured", she’s haunted by a thought...what if the last unwanted identity turns out to be her?

its one hell of a supporting cast with some sexy babes, i mean great actresses in it. Sounds promosing, and Image seem to have a lot of comic series in production, it would be cool to see invincible get adapted but it might work better as a tv series if it had a huge ass budget

Seems like a pretty good psychological thriller!
They've got a very impressive cast :D
I love Trachtenberg and Katie Cassidy is one of my favourites, she's so talented. Billy Campbell is fantastic too.

(: I'm looking forward to this!

I hope the filming for this won't give Cassidy scheduling conflicts for Arrow if it's picked up! She's the perfect Dinah.

@CherryBomb, I doubt there will be any conflict. If Arrow is picked up, it won't start filming until July. This is a low budget film that starts filming this week, so it should be wrapped before then.

If only there were some hot chicks in the cast... ;^)

Interesting tidbit on Sasha Grey- she is the daughter of famous painter Alex Grey, who's work is often featured on Tool's albums and concerts.

I'm not really into psychological thrillers. They're are too psychological for my taste. :P

So Katie Cassidy, Eliza Dushku, and Michelle Trachtenberg in one movie? Hottest female cast ever!

@GUNSMITH That's actually Sarah Shahi, but I agree. :)

@mgeoff88, I think Bitch Slap, if you've seen it, gives it a run for it's money as Hottest female cast ever.

America Olivo

Julia Voth

Erin Cummings

@kenny Ha ha, I know someone was going to bring up Bitch Slap. And yes, I did see the movie.

OK, that's hard to argue, but they're all hot actresses. To be fair though, I've known about Eliza Dushku and Michelle Trachtenberg, long before I knew any of the actresses in Bitch Slap.

And Erin Cummings is even one of my picks for Wonder Woman.
