Darkhawk8 - 5/10/2012, 11:35 AM
Tobey was terrible!!!!
Xeriath - 5/10/2012, 11:35 AM
The first two trailers were alright, but the third one really got me pumped. I'm officially psyched! It's going to be a good time.
ralfinader - 5/10/2012, 11:39 AM
This trailer was the first thing about this movie to get me interested as well. Some cool action beats, and a few scenes that looked like they leapt of the comicbook page while dodging/fighting the Lizard.
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 11:41 AM
i love the idea on shooting the web slinging in 1st person format,its going to be boss at i max.

in fact this being the 4th spiderman movie id prob. skipped it if wasnt in 1st person format but that hooked me.
Ha1frican - 5/10/2012, 11:52 AM
Onlu problem I have is the genetic testing of young peter origin which seems to be where they are going it
CPBuff22 - 5/10/2012, 11:53 AM
@marknjoanna I completely agree. IMAX 3D will be AWESOME! I also like this Peter Parker better.
webslinger84 - 5/10/2012, 11:54 AM
This is the type of Spider-Man movie I've been waiting for!
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 11:59 AM
@cp. i max will rock it in 1st person format.and yes this guy looks a lot more like parker to me.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/10/2012, 12:00 PM
I am really excited for this movie and hope it is great but recently I have been getting this nagging feeling that it might not be. I think it is that rumour about the execs hating it, that keeps playing in my mind. I hope I am wrong because it is my most anticipated film.
SpiderFan35 - 5/10/2012, 12:00 PM
@Gusto: Yeah buddy! Maybe in the next one.

@Josh: Awesome gifs, but wtf is that chick doing in the first one lol

I felt a twinge of excitement for the first time for the movie after watching this trailer. Or maybe it was all the boobs being posted. Either way, It was a good day :D
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 12:00 PM
id say no on tobeys cameo,but who knows
NorrinRaddical - 5/10/2012, 12:02 PM
it's going to be a fun summer!

my biggest curiosity? that creep talking to Conners in jail! 99% sure it's Michael Masse (villian on Fringe, Bruce Banner in Ultimates Avengers 2 cartoon, HBOs Carnivale, and sadly, the man who accidentally fatally shot the Crow's Brandon Lee...).

Masse IS on imdb for Spiderman...but as someone named David Lowell?

NorrinRaddical - 5/10/2012, 12:05 PM
* spelled Massee, sorry.

consensus on imdb seems to be Lowell is a comic character who worked at Oscorp who becomes "Sundown". Lots of folks think this will be Osborne...but to show that in a trailer? maybe i'm making a mountain out of a molehill, but there's some fun intrigue to be discovered....
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 12:09 PM
this p parker looks a lot closer to the comics.but i think i liked tobeys suit better but need to see the movie 1st.

roll on marvel
TheGodOfMischief - 5/10/2012, 12:10 PM
@ Norrin Raddical-- I was wondering the same thing. Though no one seems to pay much attention to that clip. Perhaps because of all the other awesomeness that's going down in this trailer. BTW anyone catch this Trailer in 3-D before The Avengers? Spidey in Real-D ( 3-D ) just makes the movie looks that much better! IMO....
Francisjb - 5/10/2012, 12:10 PM
I'm praying Marvel with flex it's muscles and split Spiderman with FOX so he can be in the next Avengers movie.
stumbleMaster57 - 5/10/2012, 12:16 PM
@francisjb spidey is owned by sony not fox
SpiderFan35 - 5/10/2012, 12:16 PM
@Batlizard: Yeah yeah lol.
UrbanKnight - 5/10/2012, 12:16 PM
I give it a 7 1/2. Not as exciting as the first spider-man's theatrical trailer imo.
Darkhawk8 - 5/10/2012, 12:21 PM
@gusto that's what I'm talking about!!
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 12:23 PM
I know the source material...and this is not source material in the slightest....I am not a hater...Spidey is my favorite hero...I have every Spider-Man (of EVERY series) except Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man #1 (and I didn't care for Tobey's whiny performance either)...Just once I would like to see a Spider-Man movie (or basically any comic movie) that is actually like the source material!!...Why is it always necessary that we have to sit through the "director's vision"?...it is the same with almost every comic to film...Why does source material of 50 years need to be screwed with?? (Superman Returns anyone?...and that had 70 years of stories to pull from...but lets just make it about real estate...maybe in the next Superman movie he can foil a jewel heist!!)...Just off the top of my head (without seeing the film...and yes, I will have my ass in the theater to see this) the following is WRONG:
1) The suit is sooooo wrong
2) Gwen never knew his identity
3) His parents did NOT do genetic tests on him and did NOT know Curt Connors
4) His parents were double agents and the Red Skull had them killed (we don't find this out during his origin...we find out in King Size Special #5)
5) HUMOR IS A MUST...that's how he deals with any crisis (it's either that or piss himself...and I do admit that at least this version seems to have humor)
6) He doesn't ride a skateboard
7) Captain Stacey always thought that Spidey was a good guy and misunderstood...as a matter of fact when he dies in Spidey's arms (Amazing Spider-Man #90) he reveals that he knows that he is Peter.
OK, I have geek ranted enough for one day.
marvel72 - 5/10/2012, 12:23 PM
been behind this movie from the start,wasn't sure about the costume at first but i don't think its that bad i've seen worse,you all know which movie i'm on about.

i just hope the changes they've made from the comic doesn't spoil my enjoyment.
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 12:25 PM
and he looks nothing like Peter...do you think Garfield could get a comic book looking MJ or Gwen?...OK, now I'm finished..lol.
SpiderFan35 - 5/10/2012, 12:35 PM
@Nova:

I don't like the suit either.

Not sure waht is going on with the Gwen thing, Spidey revelaing his identity is a pretty big deal so I'm surprised they would have it happen so quick.

I'm glad the humor is being used too, seems to have improved from those Kellog's clips which I hope are on the cutting room floor.

But as for the changes to the story and the skateboarding etc, we just have to accept that this is being marketed to a younger generation. Why mess with 50 years of material? Because lots of young fans don't care about it. It's why they did the Ultimate universe. This is not your dad's Spider-man so to speak.
SpiderFan35 - 5/10/2012, 12:38 PM
@IM53: Spidey: "I'm sorry, that, uh, has never happened before" ;P

@Gusto: Kid in background: "Dat ass".
RocketMadnessBoss - 5/10/2012, 12:39 PM
This movie looks beyond terrible. That small knives scene made me cringe. The only thing that looks cool about this movie is the web slinging. The rest is trash.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/10/2012, 12:41 PM
@RocketMadnessBoss: Why does it look beyond terrible ?
thewolfx - 5/10/2012, 12:43 PM
@spiderman2020

2many tobey haters

and toboey has nothing to do with anything you morons

its the fact this is a reboot thats way too soon

..idiots allover the place i swear.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/10/2012, 12:53 PM
@thewolfx:

Erm, I guess that makes you a reboot hater then. Not everyone hated Tobey, I didn't. He was good for his time but now it is this reboots chance to shine.

Stop being a Raimi fanboy.

@nova.nice spidy set i just got spidy# 5 last wk in f-.its the 1st time spidy and doom met opps i guess you knew that lol.

i dont collect the whole run like you what i do on spidy is get all the 1st 100 and the key ones after that ie.

spidy 101-1st morbus then i skip to 121 and 122 then onto 129 etc etc.

ive found its much better to just get the keys.
but its all good.

i like a site called superworld com and hes got a sale going till 5-16, i get lots from him ,heritage com and the great escape in nashville.

ive not had good luck with mile high comics tho.have you delt with them any and do you know of any other good comic dealers i might try.

marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 1:11 PM

neal adams was my fav.and batman 251 is the only comic he did that i dont have.

fyi comiclinkcom has any book you may want but you will pay way way to much but im about to give in and get the 251 from them grrrrr.
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 1:16 PM
@marknjoanna:
I find one of the best ways is to troll eBay comics late at night and look for typos....it is amazing (ha..no pun intended) the deals I have got because someone wrote the auction ad wrong...and by the way, NICE collection...always nice to meet a Spidey collector. A good site to follow what is trending is comicspriceguide.com
...and sadly I have to re-find another Amazing #121...stupidly I had it out to change the plastic and my new puppy got it!!...went from an 8.5 to a .004 in seconds!...May the new puppy rest in peace...lol
SuperSpiderMan5778 - 5/10/2012, 1:16 PM
that's b/c those 32% are a bunch of anal retentive fawking losers. that or they're nolanites or both.
MarsivNayr - 5/10/2012, 1:18 PM
@Nova2012

Well you certainly aren't wrong on any of the points you made. BUT, if changes weren't made in these films, there'd be no point in making them. These movies are adapted, not copied, from the source material.

And if you have a problem with all of THESE changes, then I don't see how you could like Avengers, Dark Knight, the Spider-man Trilogy, Iron Man, X-men, etc.

I think that change should be welcome and necessary. It's not about copying and pasting every element of the comic, but capturing the heart and spirit and story of Peter Parker. This is very much going to be a spider-man film. (I think even more so than the last three)
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 1:25 PM
@SpiderFan35:
I actually agree with you completely as to why they feel they have to change things...but...if kids don't care about the "true" back stories then why change it?..it's not like they will know...sure, modernize a few things but keep the core true (like humor, the suit, not revealing his identity to everyone, etc)....this keeps the idiots, ummm, I mean kids happy and it keeps the people who do know all the back stories happy as well...I can dream ;)
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 1:25 PM
@nova. sorry to hear about yr 121.heart breaker.glad mine is slabbed lol.ive wanted to try e bay but i dont trust them on the high end books i guess.has it always went ok with you on e bay.and do you bid at heritage any.good deals on there some wks real good deals.
birdfists - 5/10/2012, 1:27 PM
@Nova

Read the Ultimate Universe, a few of your 'not source material' facts will change.

But you realize this has to translate on screen right?
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 1:33 PM
@intruder ive learned not to be to harsh on casting.i bet nobdy liked brokebackboy getting the joker gig.and look how great he did.have to let the pros pickem and hope for the best.
Gnyah123 - 5/10/2012, 1:33 PM
movie will be great
i hope it does great! we need a reboot
i just hope we can get a venom and carnage in this trilogy or series that they r making..
NorrinRaddical - 5/10/2012, 1:34 PM
IronMan & Intruder... i'm 99% sure that's Michael Massee (see page 1 of comments). I know that voice, and IMDB has him listed as the character who becomes Oscorp's "Sundow"n, but it could be a ruse too...
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 1:35 PM
@TheDarkSpider:
I agree...I don't want to see an exact copy either...takes away any surprises...Iron Man is the perfect example...stayed completely true to the core material but yet modernized it enough to make most everyone happy (unlike the mess called Superman Returns...a kid??...really??...How come Lois, who doesn't remember having sex with Supes never calls him a rapist)...but since you brought up the heart & spirit of Peter Parker, wellll, the Parker I know doesnt cry every 5 minutes and has a sense of humor that is killer...I don't think they remotely captured that in the 1st 3 films......and the Dark Knight was awesome even with the changes because like Iron man the core was there...also just like my new all time favorite movie, THE AVENGERS!!
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 1:45 PM
@nove. what i hated about lois was she lost her errr balls in returns. the lois i read about coming up didnt take no shet.this was was way to weak.

on the rape thing he didnt rape her she wanted it,well after she knew who he was anyways lol.and then cleared her mind when he had to become superman again.

not the same as rape to me.
MarsivNayr - 5/10/2012, 1:46 PM
@Nova2012
Yeah utterly with you on Iron man, TDK, and Avengers. Superman Returns was a questionable film that will hopefully be put to rest next year (Man of Steel).

But yeah, I'm hoping we get another "Iron Man" out of this Spidey flick. I mostly have confidence in this film because of the writer and director involved (as well as the cast; I mean, Martin Sheen is Uncle Ben. Can't believe I never thought of that)

I just can't imagine them making "bad" changes for the sake of change. But, as we were shown last year, trailers and promos CAN be decieving (Green Lantern).
MarsivNayr - 5/10/2012, 1:48 PM
oh and the only great thing from Superman Returns, and the only thing I'd want to return(heh) for the Reboot, is Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor.
Nova2012 - 5/10/2012, 1:51 PM
@birdfists:
LOVE the Ultimate Universe...I have every ultimate book made (spidey, ultimates, etc, etc...my actual comic collection now stands at 48,378 books)...and I am fine with change when they make it outside the 616 universe...but as you can see by some really crappy movies that it is always about the "Director's Vision", and well, I'm sick of the "Director's Vision".....why not have the actual comic writers write the screen play and have the Director film it the way it was written...I know a lot of people hate on the Daredevil movie, but, I loved it and it was 90% direct from the books...ask most any true comic reader if they would like (for example) to see Amazing Spider-Man #121 & 122 done exactly like the books...the answer will be yes.
marknjoanna - 5/10/2012, 1:53 PM
@nova. ive got a video of my comics for insurance reasons, and if i knew how to post a video i would. if any would like to see them let me n know how ok.
