Set in the South two years before the Civil War, “Django Unchained” stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.

Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.

Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of “Candyland,” an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival...

Nothing can describe my utter disdain for Entertainment Tonight's pompous, snooty character. "We've got the inside scoop on..." "We've got the exclusive footage of..." on and on and on! AND THEN they talk over the footage!! I want this show to burn. What about a show where they just showed it to you and moved on?
VicSage - 6/5/2012, 3:12 PM
Looking forward to this movie big time though :)
Up there with The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers for me in terms of anticipation

Holy crap, that looks great, tarantino never fails

A lot of quick zooms. Very Speghetti Western. Maybe too much from this set of clips. We'll see, but I've been a hardcore fan since Resevior Dogs, so I'm game, but even I know when Tarantino OVERDOES certain things (In "Grind House: Thunderbolt", that close up "Booyah, I'm gonna tap that ass" shit makes me HATE watching the climax)

i want a good Tarantino movie. Inglorious Basterds was ok, but the title was misleading as it had about 12 minutes of screentime with the characters it was named after. and honestly i hate reading subtitles for a movie. i pay money to watch the movie, not read a movie.

I am waiting on a return to Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs form. after those movies his films turned to shit.

I bet this is going to be some scenery chewing at it's finest. Has DiCaprio ever had one of these roles before? When was the last time he did a movie where he didn't have to be completely serious.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/5/2012, 4:21 PM
Looks cool. :)

Too bad Russell´s Ace Woody character isnt in it anymore.
Waltz is gonna be boss thou and Franco Nero too who if believing the recent released new pics is going to have little role in the film.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/5/2012, 4:26 PM
Gary Oldman would have been perfect Calvin Candie. That guy knows how to play a great bad guy. :)
Daniel Day-Lewis would have been boss too.
