VIDEO GAMES: New THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Character Skin Reveals "Spider-Morphosis"

Remember Spider-Morphosis? Well, he first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #437 and this hideously mutated version of Peter Parker will be available as an unlockable character skin in the video game tie-in to the upcoming movie.

Could this be a sign of what's to come on the big screen? Hopefully not, but it does make for a pretty cool alternative character skin in Beenox's upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man video game. In the comic books, Spider-Man underwent this transformation after being sprayed in the face by one of Plantman's mutagenic flowers. He eventually returned to normal (it involved the villain being turned into a tree in a story which is probably better off forgotten) but you can see what he looked like in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #437 (by Tom DeFalco and Rafael Kayanan) below.

Well this is a surprise extra. Looks cool. I hope the Miles Morales and (new)Scarlet Spider suits are in there too.

Now that's awesome!!! Beenoz wasn't kidding when they said they would bring alternate costumes that have never been in any other videogame, I wasn't spectating anything outside of the regular recolors.

That looks gross but awesome.

I'd like Spiderman 1602 as an unlockable. The original/Raimi Spidey costume should be in there too. Anything else is a treat.

@TheAmazingSpidey63 I read in an interview the battle damage is going to be apart of the gameplay. So the more damage u take the more battle damaged spidey will get. :) makes me a happy Fan.

@Mrcool210 and @TheAmazingSpidey63 The battle damage one is in the game. In some gameplay footage (if you've seen it) When spidey was fighting and getting beaten up his suit would get damaged. Sooo that's a confirmed suit.

A Spider-phoenix costume based off the design of the Amazing Spider-man movie costume would be an instant win since I always loved that costume in the original Spider-man game back in that Millennia.

Didn't the creators say in a video that a lot of the costume skins are going to be ones we haven't seen in previous Spider-Man games.

Seeing as the game is about Human Animal hybrids, I'm assuming this is just part of the plot where spider-man gets exposed to some shit and has to find an antidote, in all likelihood towards the end of the story.

Still, alternate costumes have been sorely absent from Spider-Man games, and WB's Batman games rolled out this bullshit where you had to get them as DLC.

Some people are taking this way too seriously lol. It's just a costume and I doubt it's part of the plot.

This is decent for an alternate suit, but I'd love to see six-arm spidey in a movie. The concept is way too cool to be left alone.
