Edward James Olmos In Talks To Play The Villain In 2 GUNS
Following a stint on Dexter as a serial killer, Edward James Olmos is now in talks to play the villain in Universal's upcoming big screen adaptation of Steven Grant and Mat Santolouco's comic book. Read on for details.
Variety reports that Edward James Olmos is set to play Papi Greco, a dangerous Mexican druglord who faces off against the two lead protagonists. Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but the actor - best known for recent roles in Battlestar Galactica, Dexter and The Green Hornet - is in negotiations. The big screen adaptation of the Boom! Studios title has already signed up Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington (as a Navy Seal and DEA agent respectively who both work together to steal millions of dollars from the CIA without knowing that each is doing so undercover). They end up taking on their double crossing associates in a film which has also seen Bill Paxton and Paula Patton join the cast.
