Alison Mack Comments Briefly On The Chances Of Appearing In ARROW

Smallville actress Alison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) reveals that she would consider reprising her role in Arrow if the CW were to come up with the right storyline, although thankfully goes on to reveal she's not that keen on the idea.

Chloe Sullivan was a new creation for the Smallville universe, but her presence in the show would eventually leave most fans feeling positively hateful towards the character. While Alison Mack didn't do too terrible a job, Chloe's dreadful pop culture quips and idiotic storylines (she went from a college drop-out to a tech genius with incredible weaponry and fighting skills who controlled "The League"'s Watchtower) were one of the worst parts of a show which rapidly went downhill during its final few years.

One of those storylines included a relationship with Justin Hartely's Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, and while the new CW series starring Stephen Amell as the DC superhero will have no links to the Smallville universe, TV Guide recently asked her whether she would consider reprising the role. "You know, no one's talked to me about that. I'm not sure. It would have to be a really great part and a really great storyline for me to do something like that, because at this point I'm looking forward and so the idea of revisiting a character that I've put to rest is not necessarily the thing that's most exciting in the front of my mind. But I never say never."

Would you like to see Chloe Sullivan (or Alison Mack in another role) appear in Arrow? Really?! Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

Ugh, her character was one of the most annoying ones I've ever seen.
TheAlexLynch - 7/5/2012, 1:25 PM
"leave most fans feeling positively hateful towards the character."

Wrong.
TheAlexLynch - 7/5/2012, 1:26 PM
Yes, Chloe would be great for a short story on Smallville. One of the best love interests to Ollie, and in Smallville Season 11 their marriage is being built upon greatly. Their interactions are one of a kind, and it would be amazing to see Chloe interact with a different take on Ollie, Allison Mack or not. One of the best actresses on TV, and a great Powergirl in the animated Supes/Bats flick.
jazzman - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
Chloe Sullivan is a crappy character
RorMachine - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
Not wrong. see how many comments are positive at the end of this thread. She was possibly the most annoying character is the history of everything.
voxen - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
I personally liked Chloe more than I liked Lana or even Lois in the beginning though Lois got better latter on. I don't think Chloe would be ok for this show though but I loved the Chloe character.
magnumsnake - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
So it's purposely made to not be related to smallville in anyway and this reporter asks a jack ass question like that...

Seriously... thats as bad as the questions the idiots at comic con ask at panels

What is she supposed to say "F that show"?
RorMachine - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
*in
Enterlion - 7/5/2012, 1:30 PM
Haha is there a proven fact that people positively hated her, or is this the opinion of the writer? I mean, I didn't hate her. Of course the show eventually turned into a giant bucket of turds... That wasn't all her doing though. I'm pretty sure it was the ongoing constant repitition of stories and the loss of some good talent that helped do it in.
voxen - 7/5/2012, 1:32 PM
I found Clark more annoying then her. She was cool most of the time they didn't know what the crap they were doing with Clark.
magnumsnake - 7/5/2012, 1:32 PM
I could see her in another part since well, TV actors tend to get recycled into similar shows.
BIGBMH - 7/5/2012, 1:32 PM
it wouldn't make sense for her to be chloe in another interpretation of green arrow's story.
Enterlion - 7/5/2012, 1:34 PM
Honestly, I'm ready to see her nekids
RorMachine - 7/5/2012, 1:35 PM
I should specify that I wasn't a Smallville fan anyway (aside from a few eps here and there) but she made me really despise it and change channels on a number of occasions. What a self righteous, nosy, busy body cow Chloe Sullivan was. Wretched.
CherryBomb - 7/5/2012, 1:35 PM
I loved Chloe in the show!
they just handled her so terribly. You could tell that they just didn't know what to do with her and gave her some stupid storylines,

I did however, loved it when she got her meteor-freak healing powers. Then they suddenly just write them off? it's like, What the hell?

Enterlion - 7/5/2012, 1:37 PM
I actually wasn't a fan of her being a meteor freak. Again, I'm ready to see her funbags in maxim or something less tasteful haha
batmitedimension - 7/5/2012, 1:37 PM
I loved her and her character! She had a few annoying plotlines, but I always considered her to be a fan-favorite.
CherryBomb - 7/5/2012, 1:42 PM
I would however, love Alison Mack to appear on Arrow,
not as Chloe, but as a different character in a recurring role (:
she's a good actress and I think it would be a nice nod to Smallville.

Alex909 - 7/5/2012, 1:52 PM
I wasn't the only one who hated the fact that everything out of her mouth was a pop-culture reference or an attempt to be funny? Thank god. Her, Lois and Jimmy were the worst at this, any conversation between two of them was unbearable. And when they tried to make Clark likeable in later seasons, he started using the same references and jokes. I liked Smallville but the dialogue was so freaking awful.
Supes17 - 7/5/2012, 1:58 PM
*Liam Neeson voice*
"Her character's/Smallville's failure was not her fault..
It was the writers"

But yeah Chloe was annoying
Supes17 - 7/5/2012, 1:58 PM
I thought she was hot lolol
soundwave129 - 7/5/2012, 1:58 PM
Chloe worked for the first 3 seasons. But I did enjoy her in the comics (the actual ones, not that Season 11 stuff), she worked well as a foil to Jimmy Olsen.
jpwrye41 - 7/5/2012, 2:02 PM
I still can't believe that the CW is doing this show period. Just because a character worked in a previous show doesn't mean it should get it's own spin off. What's next? Pacey's Creek?
bagadoosh - 7/5/2012, 2:03 PM
Suzanne - 7/5/2012, 2:04 PM
Of course she isn't it wouldn't make sense with them starting over with the Green Arrow character.

CW shouldn't even be doing this show they should be doing Wonder Woman or how about Metropolis. They they could have cameos from the Smallville cast.
SHHH - 7/5/2012, 2:08 PM
Stay Away...
bagadoosh - 7/5/2012, 2:21 PM
wonder woman didn't make it out of pilot don't hold your breath that they will try again
Optimus83 - 7/5/2012, 2:23 PM
¡¡¡Good for Allison Mack!!!
bayouboyz - 7/5/2012, 2:24 PM
Do you guys realize she is on Wilfred now? She has a recurring role on that show.
DoomXfactor - 7/5/2012, 2:49 PM
[frick] Alison Mack. She should have died in season 1
marvel72 - 7/5/2012, 2:54 PM
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

she was one of the many reasons what made smallville suck.
MGS - 7/5/2012, 3:00 PM
Smallville.. suckest suck that ever sucked!
TheMfayz - 7/5/2012, 3:00 PM
I dont understand why they couldnt just call the flash: "the flash"... They had to come up with that stupid "impulse" thing or whatever
ComicBookGoth - 7/5/2012, 3:02 PM
i'll just leave this here

vexfly - 7/5/2012, 3:27 PM
I've always had a thing for Mac but it doesn't make any sense for her to be in this considering it's not connected to Smallville, at as far as I know. I only watched the first 2 seasons of Smallville so IDK of her character's direction in that
REDSTORM - 7/5/2012, 4:07 PM
She should've gotten killed off.
carrowsboy - 7/5/2012, 4:20 PM
Loved Chloe. Loathed Lana.
EditNinja - 7/5/2012, 4:26 PM
Good actress, irritating character.
If this is a reboot, then no Chloe, thanks.
MadJakHatesSpinoffs - 7/5/2012, 4:27 PM
At least the chick who played Lana was smoking hot.
hope420 - 7/5/2012, 4:33 PM
They should have dyed Alisons hair red and had her be Lana!
dnno1 - 7/5/2012, 4:38 PM
First of all, for those of you saying that it wouldn't make sense for Allison Mac appear on the series you need to stop and think. If it means a ratings boost having her appear then it makes perfect sense.. that is, if she could give it a ratings boost
TheSisko - 7/5/2012, 4:51 PM
Allison Mack was the best thing about Smallville. Smallville must conform to DC comics mythos wankers should get over themselves.

I am really excited about Mack's role on Wilfred. So far she has been cute and funny on that show.
TheSisko - 7/5/2012, 4:55 PM
Also Chloe was never a college drop out. She stopped going to college after Dark Thursday and they never explained why.

On the other hand there were other main character that did drop out of college on the show.
Logan276 - 7/5/2012, 4:56 PM
I think it would be best if they just keep this show as its own thing and not try to fit the smallville world into it.
PeterParker1991 - 7/5/2012, 5:04 PM
Chloe should have been Clark's love interest in Smallville. Lana should have stayed with Whitney. Clark and Chloe, I feel would've gone better together, at least until Lois entered the scene and stole the show. After season one, I "loathed" lana, only because she kept getting between what Clark and Chloe almost had.
Mugwamp - 7/5/2012, 5:10 PM
Can't think of a series that was great all the way through or one where the writers didn't go off the rails with a character story. Too many episodes to have solid writing and stories every week. Continuity is also an issue over a long running series. Overall I loved Smallville.

It helped relaunch the tv hero genre. Yep, I didn't like all the episodes, but I liked the characters. Over the years it was fun to watch how much the writers changed them. Can't stay the same forever. And you must admit, the same thing happens to comic characters all the time, they write them crazy, blue, dead, cyborg, hateful, loving, on and on, they are constantly changing plots, affiliations, powers, jobs...I think she did a great job as an actress given what she was supposed to do every week. You have to wonder how many times those actors read the script for the week and went "Oh man..."

mgeoff88 - 7/5/2012, 5:18 PM
I really liked Chloe on Smallville before the writers seemed to run out of ideas for her.

It's obvious they didn't know what to do with her character in the later seasons.

I would rather Smallviile and Arrow stay separate. Unless, she were to appear on Arrow as a different character. That would be kind of cool.
AtomicChipmunk - 7/5/2012, 5:35 PM
Everything related to Smallville sucks.

Anyone still liking Smallville after that series finale should stfu and gtfo.
TheSisko - 7/5/2012, 5:54 PM
I like to pretend Smallville ended with Clark trapped in the Phantom Zone.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/5/2012, 6:08 PM
CW in general is just a shitty station. Now if this show was part of HBO, then I would be interested.
