This whole franchise is one of those things where it's purely guilty pleasure. I am a fiend for anything with zombies or anything of the like. I don't see these films in theatres, I don't own any of them, but I DO get them at Redbox and DVR them when they come on. It's purely guilty pleasure. Also, these films are pretty bad. I swear nothing really happened in RE: Afterlife but they're good time-consuming movies. If these films were called something else, they might actually be worth a little more than spit.... perhaps, they'd be worth dirt? They're already developing a sequel to this one. Paul WS Anderson has stated he wants it to be a 6 picture saga like Star Wars. The next one after Retribution will be the finale. Can't wait for a REAL Resident Evil franchise until then...

Of course there are some comicbooks for RE. I have the first one (by Marvel!!!) and even the one based on mvc 3.

Just like assassins creed they have comicbooks based on the same storyline as in the videogames :)

But still, what a terrible poster...just...boring. Milla is hot as hell but I want to see more Rain or even Barry :( I've seen too much of Alice, now bring me the others!

And I agree with you VicSage, a reboot would be amazing. But hey, there will be a new cgi movie called Damnation that IS based on the videogames. I'm much more excited for Damnation than this....

When will this franchise finally just end?! Most series have the decency to stop at 3. Not Resident Evil. As awful as Afterlife was, I can't believe they are still making # 5. I really hope this is it and they don't leave anything hanging for a sequel.

There is a comic book series based on the Resident Evil games:

I actually have that issue, but I lost it after I moved it down in my basement. Or the large secret warehouse from the Indiana Jones film as I like to think of it. :P

I watch these movies for the characters from that are actually from the video games. That's it. I can't wait til they reboot the series.

@JillValenfield There was an official still of Barry Burton a couple of articles back: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/LucasMend/news/?a=63014
