First Teaser Poster For ROBOCOP?

It looks as if we may have the first teaser poster for 2013's RoboCop. Unfortunately, it comes from a site notorious for posting convincing fan-made efforts! Hit the jump to check it out and to decide whether or not you think it's the real deal.

Cine1 are often extremely reliable when it comes to revealing new theatrical posters (that international Total Recall one-sheet posted here on CBM earlier today for example) but they've also been known to share extremely convincing fan-made versions too. However, this teaser poster for José Padilha's RoboCop definitely seems to be the real deal, though the fact that the QR code located in the bottom left hand corner doesn't work, may be an indication that it's not. Either way, RoboCop is currently set to be released on August 9th, 2013, and stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish and Hugh Laurie.

That's awesome. I grew up with the original Robocop so this reboot better do the character some damn justice...
R888 - 7/11/2012, 5:46 PM

JDUKE25 - 7/11/2012, 5:50 PM
On the fence about this.
MisterNiceGuy - 7/11/2012, 5:58 PM
idk why but i feel like the red in the poster should be blue
JDUKE25 - 7/11/2012, 6:00 PM
@MisterNiceGuy Or a combination of both
DarthLaney - 7/11/2012, 6:02 PM
"The Future of Law Enforcement" is still a cooler tag - certainly beats the suck ass one on that poster
superman2013 - 7/11/2012, 6:09 PM

TheYesGuy - 7/11/2012, 6:16 PM

YOUNGBL00D - 7/11/2012, 6:17 PM
Alright, I know it's just supposed to be a teaser, but how is a banner with the title of the movie on it supposed to get us that exciting
CrimsonReign - 7/11/2012, 6:28 PM
It is okay. I saw no ads for the first Robocop but was blown away the first time I saw it. I was totally shocked by the ultra-violence. My money says the will water down the reboot greatly.

Grif has found a new whore to [frick] with his little dick comment "Shit movie, shit design (its coming folks) shit poster, shit actor...or whatever he thinks is shit to satisfy his shit fetish.

SHIT GRIF

Nuff Said
Fogs - 7/11/2012, 7:00 PM
Shit poster indeed.

But I hope the movie turns out being good. I could have a nice Robocop movie after all these years. And the cast is pretty decent.
BenRielly - 7/11/2012, 7:13 PM
This poster is a hot piece of garbage
mgeoff88 - 7/11/2012, 7:19 PM
The title and tagline are nice, but the poster is kind of blah.

Wait, is that same font used for the Terminator movies? That's lazy.

@DarthLaney OK correction, that's a nice tagline.

@ULTIMOSPIDER What's wrong with having a shit fetish?

That's the fetish in where you say the word "shit" over a hundred times in single a day. All the cool kids are doing it. I do it myself. :P
dracula - 7/11/2012, 7:22 PM
when the [frick] are they going to show us robocop
Johnem95 - 7/11/2012, 7:23 PM

dracula - 7/11/2012, 7:24 PM

Batdag - 7/11/2012, 7:52 PM
Oh my god !! Grif is right, this poster sucks ! Honneslty, it looks like a fan made and a bad one. Hope they won't destroy anything in this reboot. The original fisrt one is just SPECTACULAR but FX look damn old now :(
Zell9 - 7/11/2012, 8:18 PM
just saying if Robocop runs at any point in this movie I'm walking out
jok3rsc0usin - 7/11/2012, 8:33 PM
I'm really excited about this movie which is dangerous, need to lower my expectations. Robocop was one of my favorite films growing up they better do it justice
Asterisk - 7/11/2012, 8:36 PM
this is bad. really bad.
Bandrews1 - 7/11/2012, 8:40 PM
Yea maybe they should have went ahead and had him in the poster. It didn't have to be to revealing, it could have just been a close up on his face or something.
worldbreaker - 7/11/2012, 8:51 PM
someday grif will save christmas and you'll all be sorry
superotherside - 7/11/2012, 9:21 PM
Actually, I think this looks awesome. Oh well. Don't see why everyone is hating it.
continuezero - 7/11/2012, 10:44 PM
I'm glad Grif's not in charge of any movies or scripts or anything like that cuz no matter what it would be shit.
Oxbow - 7/12/2012, 1:04 AM
I'd buy that for a dollar...maybe.

Zell9-robocop will run

worldbreaker-lmao

Edd209 - 7/12/2012, 1:29 AM
Real or not - it looks ok..

But as people have said nothing to get too excited about!
AlexDeLarge87 - 7/12/2012, 4:03 AM
I like the tagline but otherwise this is pretty fanmade looking poster.

By the way... Is Hugh Laurie confirmed in the villain role?
