Image Comics' PETER PANZERFAUST Heading To The Small Screen
A surprise announcement was made at the Image Comics panel yesterday which revealed that Peter Panzerfaust (a VERY different take on the Peter Pan character) is set to debut on the small screen in a motion comic, before being turned into a live action TV show. Read on for details.
Bleeding Cool reports that Peter Panzerfaust is set to become a fully voiced motion comics from QT Digital and BBC Worldwide, with plans already in place to later adapt it into a live action series. This was revealed by series writer Kurtis J. Wiebe at the "Image Comics Presents" panel at the San Diego Comic-Con (the book was pencilled by Tyler Jenkins). The solicitation for the first issue of the series reads as follows, "The city of Calais is the first city in France to fall to the Germans in the spring of 1940. A mysterious American boy named Peter rallies a handful of plucky French orphans and they must work together to survive Europe's darkest hour."
