What Would Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson Look Like As 'The Vision'? Find Out Here!

A user named bhsfx on the Sculpture and Makeup Effects Forum has created this incredible sculpt of Clark Gregg as The Vision. It's not quite finished (they have yet to paint it) but could this be similar to what we MIGHT see in the planned sequel to Marvel's The Avengers?

Ever since he was killed off in Marvel's The Avengers (the sequel for which was recently confirmed for a May 1st, 2015 release), fans have been desperately thinking of ways that Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson could be brought back from the dead. Well, 'The Vision' is certainly one way to go! The talented artist responsible for this sculpt points out that the final painted version will not have pupils, and we'll be sure to bring you those images as soon as they become available. How would you like to see Clark Gregg brought back as 'The Vision' in the follow-up to The Avengers? Sound off with your thoughts below!

In some slightly more worrying news, a rumour that Vin Diesel (Fast Five) may be interested in or in talks for the role of 'The Vision' in The Avengers sequel have emerged after the actor used an image of the character as his profile picture on his official Facebook page. How exactly would you guys feel about THAT?!

Haha that's pretty good, paint it up!!
marvelstudios - 8/17/2012, 7:40 AM
As much as I liked him, Coulson should stay dead, otherwise the assembly of the Avengers would be based on a lie.

BTW the sculpture is pretty good. Looking forward to the painted version.
jessepostal - 8/17/2012, 7:45 AM
@marvel, it kind of already is based on a lie, at least the extra boost is:)
nonserviam - 8/17/2012, 7:47 AM
Looks good, but kinda creepy at the same time. Needs to be painted.
chikeizelcav - 8/17/2012, 7:48 AM
wow this is awesome. it would translate great onto the screen
StrangerX - 8/17/2012, 7:49 AM
looks really good!!
flguitarguy - 8/17/2012, 7:49 AM
Fury already lied to them.

Bring on Vision.
AutobotCommander84 - 8/17/2012, 7:49 AM
@marvelstudios One of Coulson's trading cards being painted red by Nick Fury so Captain America could feel bad isn't a lie?
AutobotCommander84 - 8/17/2012, 7:51 AM
I don't see how the Vision has to be "emotionless". If he's based off of Coulson's brain wave patterns, I don't see how he wouldn't have his personality.
Ashdm - 8/17/2012, 7:51 AM
Now, that is awesome. I really hope they do make Coulson the Vision; it's not canon but this is the MCU!
angus666 - 8/17/2012, 7:53 AM
I thought it would suck, but it actually looks awesome.
Bark4Soul - 8/17/2012, 7:54 AM
White out the eyes or red out he eyes and there ya go
Angelus - 8/17/2012, 7:55 AM
That looks too strange.
Dedpool - 8/17/2012, 7:55 AM
It's a way to go. I personally think he should be both dead AND the vision. Let him play the Vision but he'd have less personality and be more robotic. And yet still have this love for humanity and wanting to save the world, plus he'd love all his cool gadgets.
KrazyForKomix - 8/17/2012, 7:55 AM
the man's 5'9"
'nuff said
Vafrous - 8/17/2012, 7:56 AM
Looks a bit like Will Arnett (aka GOB from Arrested Development)
KrazyForKomix - 8/17/2012, 7:56 AM
IF that!
MerkinMan - 8/17/2012, 8:03 AM

Because he's the hero we deserve, but not the one it needs right now.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 8/17/2012, 8:03 AM
Super12 - 8/17/2012, 8:04 AM
@Dedpool - dead on. Coulson's personality is already a little robotic. He only shows emotions when he's around Cap (which could be a hilarious/touching moment if even as Vision you see a glimpse of humanity when he and Cap team up) I know it's not canon but it would be a stroke of genius if MCU did this. Ant-man makes vision, but then Fury steps in and suggests who to model it after.
GoILL - 8/17/2012, 8:05 AM
Looks pretty good.
SirJediFrank - 8/17/2012, 8:05 AM
Oh.. CBM did add the link, as usual actually. ok.

You know, i´ve read that Whedon has this "trend" to kill off a fan favourite character in his previous projects, but in THIS particular case, yeah the Vision´d be a great way to bring a must needed new character for Av2, and give Gregg more screentime again.

JatevinM - 8/17/2012, 8:06 AM
I highly doubt Coulson is dead to begin with especially after that little trading card move that Fury pulled. I have a feeling Coulson is somewhere with the Celloist that was continually mentioned in the movie.
Super12 - 8/17/2012, 8:07 AM
Wait, wait, so let me see if I'm getting this right. Comic book fanboys are up in arms about the idea of bringing a character back from the dead?? HA! Good thing that's not happened in comic books to EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER WHO'S EVER DIED lol
Orphix - 8/17/2012, 8:07 AM
I know that they do it all the time in the comics but I hope the MCU has the confidence and the courage to keep dead characters dead.

The best way to undermine any threat is using the cheapest of tricks and bring back dead characters.

Will Stane come back? Vanko? Yensin? Erskine? Laufey?? Is anyone safe from this plot contrivence????

It's Bobby Ewing all over again!!
Sortis - 8/17/2012, 8:09 AM
The geek in me is so giddy right now, thanks to whoever made this!
Sortis - 8/17/2012, 8:10 AM
and someone should totally send this to Clark and Joss!
95 - 8/17/2012, 8:11 AM
That's great.
DaenerysTargaryen - 8/17/2012, 8:12 AM
I find that kinda creepy O.o
ElDuce74 - 8/17/2012, 8:12 AM
I think it looks great but I see Toby Huss when I see the sculpt. It looks more like him than Coulson to me. If you don't know who Toby Huss is, that's a shame.
SirJediFrank - 8/17/2012, 8:13 AM
Did´nt Gregg signed for a multi-movie deal like everyone else? I mean at least after the first IM.

So..IM2, Thor, Avengers.. and then killed off?! Mmmhh...

@RamonSuarez: Agreed about your source material comment, BUT this is MCU, so if Marvel can´t ow won´t use the Scarlett Witch, there is no way to go the Comic book way.
CaptainAmerica31 - 8/17/2012, 8:15 AM
I wouldn't mind if he came back, his death was so empty and meaningless lol
thalidomide - 8/17/2012, 8:16 AM
Lmao @ grif.

I don't want Coulson to become the Vision.
GUNSMITH - 8/17/2012, 8:17 AM
SirJediFrank - 8/17/2012, 8:21 AM

@Sortis: "and someone should totally send this to Clark and Joss!"
-- someone already sent the link to Clark Greggs twitter
iJackSparrow - 8/17/2012, 8:21 AM
Agent Phil Coulson is DEAD and isn't coming back. He was Colonel Nick Fury's one good eye. His vision. He is DEAD, but Clark Gregg isn't. And he playing Vision just makes too much sense for not to happen.
Spock - 8/17/2012, 8:22 AM
I am still confused, U Can't have Vision without ULTRON 1ST!
niknik - 8/17/2012, 8:23 AM
While that is a really good work and fantastic resemblence, It shows me that Clark just does NOT look like the Vision should look. His face just doesn't fit the character.....and he's just too old to boot. He makes the vision look like the girl next door's father.
SirJediFrank - 8/17/2012, 8:25 AM
@RamonSuarez: well what i remember is Vision was once a human and had kids with S.Witch.. or Vision was ALWAYS a robot and the kids were ONLY an illusion for Wanda?
iJackSparrow - 8/17/2012, 8:26 AM

Agreed. Have you heard abou this movie that Edgar Wright is doing though? Yes you can't have Vision without Ultron first, but you can't have Ultron without ANT MAN first!
