With a new director in the form of Dean Parisot (Justified, The Good Wife), RED 2 adds even more actors to its already impressive ensemble cast as everyone from Anthony Hopkins (Thor) to Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) sign up to join the returning cast members. This instalment will reportedly see the retired C.I.A. Agents travelling across Europe to take on an all-new threat and will hopefully improve upon the so-so first movie.

Byung Hun Lee is joining the cast. Awesome. :)

Wonder is he gonna be "villain" like Urban or a good guy.
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 4:27 AM
Urrgh, can't stand Zeta-Jones.

RED was a surprise for me, pleasantly so.
There was nothing on TV and I think I noticed it on Lovefilm™ after browsing and finding little else at the time.
John Malkovich was great in it!. I wonder if 'The Pig' will make a return appearance!. ^^
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 4:28 AM
Oh, and that was quite some mean-ass fight netween Urban and Willis in the CIA headquarters. Really brutal.
comiccow6 - 8/22/2012, 4:29 AM
THE PIG!!! He so should have been carrying it in the poster!

Mirren rules.

Not a bad movie the first one, the Bruce Willis stepping out of a spinning car whilst shooting bit was pretty freakin awesome.
FanBoyBlack - 8/22/2012, 6:10 AM
No Morgan Freeman?
Smokey - 8/22/2012, 7:17 AM
Yaa shame there's no Freeman... he was awesome in it. Always is though... This shouldn't be bad, there'll probably be more Malkovich as they'd know that everyone loved him in the first one, he was highhhlarious.
Jolt17 - 8/22/2012, 8:29 AM
The first one was a great fun; but, I'm still not sure about this. The cast is great, but I doubt that a sequel is actually necessary.

It's a shame that Mr. Freeman's character isn't returning...but, hey, if he is, that means it's from the grave. That's acceptable, I suppose.
GreenHalJordan - 8/22/2012, 8:30 AM
I literally stood up and yelled out "YOU CANT KILL MORGAN FREEMAN! HES GOD!" in the middle of the first one in theatres. People actually yelled out "Exactly!"
Jolt17 - 8/22/2012, 8:31 AM
I'd love to see more of Malkovich's bullet-versus-bazooka, though!
UrbanKnight - 8/22/2012, 4:00 PM
The first one slightly worked. Sequels aren't usually betyet, well see.
comicb00kguy - 8/23/2012, 6:31 AM
The original film was a lot of fun. I hope this can be one of those rare sequels that is as good as the original was.
