Showbiz 411 confirms that 'Adele' will compose and perform the theme for Skyfall and that it will rather appropriately be called, "Skyfall". The single will be featured on her upcoming album after the last one - "21" - sold over 22 million copies worldwide. Singing a theme for the 23rd James Bond film means that the British singer joins the likes of Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney and Madonna, all of whom have contributed their own iconic takes on the Ian Fleming creation in song. There's obviously no preview available at this point, but you can check out one of the tunes that 'Adele' is best know for below.

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

STARRING:

Daniel Craig as James Bond
Javier Bardem as ?????
Judi Dench as M
Ralph Fiennes as ?????
Albert Finney as ?????
Naomie Harris as Eve
Bérénice Marlohe as Sévérine
Ben Whishaw as Q

thewonderer - 9/14/2012, 6:08 PM
Anyone remember "you know my name" from casino royale?

Man that one rocked so much. The solace one sucked and sounds like this one will too
TheMarvelWay - 9/14/2012, 6:09 PM
Live And Let Die is tops Bond song!!
CoughCough - 9/14/2012, 6:09 PM
It's fine as long as she doesn't make a cameo.
GraGar - 9/14/2012, 6:10 PM
Yep.
TrueRedBlue - 9/14/2012, 6:12 PM
Did you guys know that Grif is Adele's #1 fan? Wonder how happy he is right now :)
marvel72 - 9/14/2012, 6:23 PM
@ grif

i agree here you go mate.

WesleyGibson - 9/14/2012, 6:26 PM
Best Bond themes, in my opinion of course:

Madonna-Die Another Day
Chris Cornell-You Know My Name
Paul McCartney-Live and Let Die

Those are the only ones I really like, but I haven't heard all of them.
cmay13 - 9/14/2012, 6:27 PM
Casino royale, goldeneye, and thunderball had the best theme songs. Live and let die was a great song, but not for a bond movie.
scapegoatjones - 9/14/2012, 6:29 PM
Adele is a fat yet clean Winehouse knockoff for prudes. And her 'great voice' sounds eerily similar to Pink, at best. And I don't hear anyone making a big deal about Pink.
At least she's in shape, and doesn't rip-off G.Barkley for song arrangements.

@ joshw

this my favorite adele song, over 200,000,000 views on youtube.

Niuhll - 9/14/2012, 6:37 PM
Was kinda hoping for Kasabian after 'Days are forgotten' that sounded very bond.
marvel72 - 9/14/2012, 6:37 PM
@ cipher

no problem mate,its a classic.
LoudNoises - 9/14/2012, 6:46 PM
She is perfect for a Bond song. Hope she kills it.
angus666 - 9/14/2012, 6:54 PM
I sense a very classic sounding theme.
cmay13 - 9/14/2012, 6:59 PM
I think lady gaga would do a better job than adele
iuhgluiblbjjkhkjhkljh - 9/14/2012, 7:17 PM
Adele? While their at it, they should get Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
StormLoganSummers - 9/14/2012, 7:17 PM
^That creature has no business singing a Bond theme. I have to agree with Grif and others that A View to a Kill is the best Bond theme. I would have preferred that Duran Duran do the theme, but Adele is good too.
SageMode - 9/14/2012, 7:30 PM
It should be on similar lines to this.....

WesleyGibson - 9/14/2012, 7:43 PM
I second LEVITIKUZ's comment. LOL well said.
MovieTheaterLad - 9/14/2012, 7:44 PM
Adele is freakin lame.

Her music is nothing new or innovative about her singing.

The only thing breaking new ground is her weight.
SageMode - 9/14/2012, 7:46 PM
Adele is a very good singer. Dont hate.

And BTW, thick women are sexy.
MovieTheaterLad - 9/14/2012, 7:49 PM
@Leviticruz

You CLEARLY don't know a lot of good female artists if you think Beyonce and Pink are the only good female artists.

You also clearly don't know a lot of music in general if you think Justin Burner is somehow messing it up.

It seems quite obvious that you only listen to top 40 music, which is the same as saying that the only restaurants that you eat at are all fast food joints.
AmazingFantasy - 9/14/2012, 7:53 PM
She's kill it.
MovieTheaterLad - 9/14/2012, 7:54 PM
@sagemode

Kelly Clarkson is thick. Adele isn't thick. She's dumpy, and has to hide it by wearing black jumpers that don't flatter her at all.

Also, her voice isnt anything we haven't heard before, neither is her music.

The only reason people care about her is because she's a role model for fat chicks (i.e. someone who helps validate their unhealthy life style). Her smoking and drinking habits aren't helping her, either.
TheOneAboveAll - 9/14/2012, 8:06 PM
@MovietheaterLad

geeekgod - 9/14/2012, 8:13 PM
@movietheaterlad

why all the hate against big girls?
i happpen to think big girls are sexy and i would [frick] adele if given the chance. i also like kelly clarkson, even if she is a lesbian, she doesn't have to like dudes for me to find her sexy
mgeoff88 - 9/14/2012, 8:14 PM
She will make an amazing Bond theme song.

My favortie Bond theme songs:

-Goldeneye
-Live and Let Die
-Casino Royale
-License to Kill
-Thunderball
-OHMSS(no vocals)
-Diamonds are Forever

@cipher That was a fantastic theme song. My favorite Bond video game theme song would have to be this:

I enjoyed it way more than the QoS movie theme song. As much I love the singer's voice, her pipes don't compare to Joss Stone's.
Shadowelfz - 9/14/2012, 8:33 PM
BREAKING NEWS!!!

Adele has already won six grammys for her theme for Skyfall!

Don't get me wrong she is a good singer but it feels like the industry pushes for certain singers to be successful regardless of their merit. Justin Bieber and Tayor Swift come to mind. They will win regardless.

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/14/2012, 8:55 PM
This is gonna be great!
Robert - 9/14/2012, 9:57 PM
Shirley Bassey is still the best at singing Bond songs. The most recent Bond songs were not great because they tried to be hip and stylish instead of...timeless.
MovieTheaterLad - 9/14/2012, 10:19 PM
@geeekgod

As a person who works in a large fashion store, has a chef dad and a mom who owned a women's gym for a long time, I tend to have a bias towards people who, you know, actually take care of themselves. I'm a skinny guy. My girlfriend is skinny. I don't find too much fat being appealing on ANYBODY. It's okay to have some curves and even a little bit of chub going on. But I just can't condone unhealthy eating habits anymore than I can with terrible fashion.

@Levitikuz

I never once said that Justin Bieber was good, nor did I say that Beyonce and Pink weren't. Learn how to read people comments before bashing them.
Jolt17 - 9/14/2012, 10:21 PM
Finally...I can see it crystal clear.

In all seriousness; yeah, I love her voice, and she can perfectly suit a Bond theme. That also makes Craig's era to have the best theme songs line-up, to me: Chris Cornell, Jack White, and now, Adele.
Jolt17 - 9/14/2012, 10:25 PM
TheOneAboveAll: Thank you for mentioning Imogen Heap, among others in that list. One of the truest artists today, who definitely needs a lot more recognition.
Bread - 9/14/2012, 10:28 PM
I'm looking forward to this movie so much.

It's funny that there is bond news 2day, in my math class we were given a test by the state that did not affect our grades in any way (don't ask me why) and I just put 007 as the answer to almost each question :)
mrHJK - 9/14/2012, 11:34 PM
goldFIIIINGAHH!!
AlexDeLarge87 - 9/15/2012, 12:04 AM
Madonna made the worst Bond song. I just cant stand Die Another Day.

The Living Daylights, Live and Let Die, Licence To Kill, A View To A Kill and Goldeneye are my favorite themes.

Also Live and Let Die, A View To A Kill, Licence To Kill and Goldeneye has four of my favorite villains too.
Sean Bean, Robert Davi, Yaphet Kotto and Christopher Walken are just menacing as hell. :)
LAXtremest - 9/15/2012, 12:26 AM
How come no ones posted a sexy pic of Adele?
