After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

The series stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance. The season premiere of Arrow will air on the CW on October 10th.

The island pick looks very "Green Arrow; Year One." Nice.

Looks very plain. At least make him resemble Oliver Queen.

Okay, every image has a huge "THE VIRUS THAT CAUSES SHINGLES MAY ALREADY BE INSIDE YOU" ad on it.

Can't you guys get some normal ads?

Unless CW sticks with show with very poor ratings I give Arrow until December and Beauty and the Beast as well. They look bad.

Man, this guy grows hair so fast that in one episode, he goes from having little hair to long, hippy hair. If I could grow facial hair like that, me and my wife would be very happy people.

I know people complain about the lack of a mask but really Green Arrow has got to have the most pointless "mask" of any Superhero. It's more a fashion accessory than any kind of mask. ESPECIALLY with that 3 Musketeer beard that probably all of 3 people on earth might have. In the series what they should consider doing as part of his disguise is put on a fake muskateer beard to conceal his appearance
Greenlantern1417 - 9/15/2012, 8:38 PM
So they aren't even calling him Green Arrow?!? Just Arrow? That just Grinds my gears.
drykillogic22 - 9/15/2012, 9:41 PM

This show could be a violent shipwreck.

I am still questioning why this show was ever made, when the people behind it are so obviously embarrassed of all the superhero elements in it.

I mean, what the [frick] is the point? Simple cash grab at its best.

This is especially strange considering that MCU & Nolan's Bat-films have had remarkable success with the superhero elements either fully intact or tweaked, not completely eliminated like here.

saw what you did there Bodwulf
