Five Actresses Testing For CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 "Love Interest" Role; Black Widow To Return

There's no mention of Anna Kendrick, but Emelia Clarke, Jessica Findlay Brown, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots and Alison Brie are all in the running for a major role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow is also set to return. Read on for details!

Deadline reports that Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo have a short list of five actresses for a major "love interest" role in the highly anticipated Marvel Studios sequel. The site doesn't have a name for the character, but it seems fair to assume that they're in the running to play 'Sharon Carter'.



• Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones)
• Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey)
• Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four)
• Imogen Poots (Fright Night)
• Alison Brie (Mad Men)

It has also been confirmed that Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as 'Black Widow' in the film. Which of the actresses listed above would you most like to see play Steve Rogers' new love interest? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

Ok, lets get this out of the way first, I LOVED the avengers, but scarjo...... She looked better in IM2 and looked like she was partying to hard in avengers. She never sold me on the black widow.

The way I see it, Winter Soldier/Black Widow story could never happen. Hawkeye would assassinate Bucky before he can even get close to Natasha. But what do I know? She could be there to help "clean" Bucky's mind since she is the expert.

Not to be the party pooper here but how is the Black Widow confirmed? The Deadline report says, "I’m also hearing that Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will be in the mix on this film." This is not a confirmation...yet.

Along with every one, I hope Black Widow returns to her look in Iron Man 2, even though she was sexy as a mofo in Avengers, especially in that interrogation scene.

As far as the love interest, depends on who it is.

I'm sure whoever Marvel gets, it will be solid because they've been pretty good with their casting choices so far!

BTW, you guys want a good laugh? Andre, aka MovieWorldExpress, wants to be hired as WB/DC's equivalent of Feige or Whedon. Can you just imagine how DC films would turn out if that happened? LOL
