The Cast And Crew Of SKYFALL Weigh In On Its Chances Come Awards Season
Hailed by many as the best Bond film ever, talk has already kicked off that Sam Mendes' Skyfall will become the first film in the popular franchise to make a significant impact at next year's Academy Awards. Check out what Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and John Logan have to say about that right here!
Skyfall is FINALLY released in North America tomorrow, but as one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year, talk of it winning big at next year's Academy Awards has already begun. Movieline had compiled a series of quotes from those involved with the film about just this, starting with screenwriter John Logan. "I think we made a proper movie, which was our goal," he said, before adding "Yes" when asked if he thinks the movie has the potential to win an Oscar. Judi Dench however is far more cautious when it comes to awards talk, especially when asked whether or not she's heard the rumblings of a 'Best Supporting Actress' nod. "Don't talk about that yet, that's a long way off," she said recently. As for Daniel Craig, he revealed that he would "of course" like to see the film acknowledged come awards season, specifying that "I mean certainly Roger Deakins who did the camera work on this; it would be fantastic if he were to be recognized because he's done such a wonderful job." What do you guys think?
