He's no longer helming Daredevil, and despite having plenty of other projects on the horizon, Joe Carnahan (The Grey) has confirmed that he and his brother Matthew have now started work on the Nemesis screenplay. Earlier this year, Mark Millar (who created the comic book series with artist Steve McNiven) revealed that Carnahan will also helm the adaptation and you can read his reaction to the news below. Liam Neeson has previously been attached to play 'Blake Morrow', the police detective who the titular villain targets. Fingers crossed that they decide to keep the costume, eh?

They'll need to change all the scenes that were stolen from other films if they're adapting Nemesis to the screen.

Hope it ends up being good.

Neeson as Morrow
Patrick Wilson, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Charlie Hunnam or Matthew McConaughey would be cool Nemesis.
McConaughey did one [frick]ing psycho role in Killer Joe and that made me think he could be interesting Nemesis.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 11/20/2012, 4:18 PM

To cite one example, Nemesis drives a car that splits in half to reveal him riding a motor-bike.

Is the costume intentionally unoriginal?

YESSS! Reading the comics, it already felt like a movie, so this gunna be huge.

@INSTANTJUSTICE Let me guess, TDKR? If so, Nemesis already did it back in May 2010 and batman isn't the first to do that you know. The point is, nobodys copying or stealing anything, So they don't have to change anything for this movie.

Eh no, not TDKR but The Dark Knight which did it 2 years before Nemesis in 2008 from which Millar stole from.

I'm sure you're going to dazzle me with many other examples of scenes from films when during a big chase involving cops et al. the main costumed character emerges from his bi-furcated car riding a motor-bike.

If he were younger I love to have seen Michael Keaton play Nemesis. I suppose he still could. Definitely Neeason for Morrow.
mattattack - 11/21/2012, 11:23 AM
Hell yeah!!!!
maxxgone - 11/21/2012, 4:10 PM
fassbender or guy pearce as nemesis would be too amazing. and yes, neeson as morrow would be perfect as well.

it would also pull him out of the 'taken' slump that is on the horizon. he does a part 3 of that shit & we can kiss his cool factor [frick]ing a.d.i.o.s.
Bread - 11/24/2012, 10:34 AM
could u imagine if Bale played Nemesis? The [frick]ing chaos that would cause in our community
