EXCLUSIVE: THE WOLVERINE Concept Art, Storyboards And Motorbike Chase Sequence Revealed

As well as a letter sent out to residents last month detailing "a stunt fight sequence between the Wolverine and Japanese samurai on motorbikes", we have some concept art, storyboards and photos from that very sequence in these brand new images from the Australian set of the movie.

The Wolverine may have concluded filming in Australia, but "ashola69" was kind enough to send us the following images which were taken on the set of the James Mangold helmed film earlier this month. As you can see, both the photos and letter sent out to residents detail an action packed chase sequence between Wolverine and Silver Samurai's ninjas. Remember, if you have any of your own set photos which you would like to see featured here on CBM, click HERE to get in touch!

Fox Film Australia Pty Ltd is currently producing a feature film adaptation of the popular Marvel comic, The Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman. With the assistance of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, a section of P5 car park next to the Monster BMX track at Sydney Olympic Park has been chosen as a location to recreate a Japanese mountain village for filming. This temporary village will be dressed with artificial snow and used to film a stunt fight sequence between the Wolverine and Japanese samurai on motorbikes.

Filming is scheduled for Monday October 22nd – Friday November 2nd 2012. At the conclusion of filming, the set will be dismantled and the car park returned to normal by Saturday November 17th, 2012. The scenes are set at night and will be shot between 4:00 pm and 6:30 am with approximately 250 crew onsite. All lighting will be from cranes and angled down towards the ground. There will be no spill of light away from the car park itself. Custom made net guns using compressed air will be used as weapons for the stunt, and the three motorbikes involved have been customized to reduce engine noise to an absolute minimum.

The Cast and Crew are very grateful to have the opportunity to work at this location and apologize for any inconvenience we may inadvertently cause. If you have any questions about the upcoming filming, please contact the Wolverine Location Office.

The fact that your source is "ashola69" is pretty awesome
SunfireUrA55 - 11/28/2012, 3:11 PM
I hope they change the title to "The Logan" b/c he's NOT in "The Wolverine" costume.
HeadPool420 - 11/28/2012, 3:40 PM
Are they doing the same crappy bike chase from the first movie? Looks like he uses his claws again to stop the bike instead of using the brakes.
YOUNGBL00D - 11/28/2012, 3:53 PM
How old are you gonna be ERM
Thythoutrust - 11/28/2012, 4:22 PM
Oh great, another bike chase...

This started up so well, but since Aranofsky left I've been disapointed with everything I've read so far.

wolverine sucks. he used to be such a badass.

the films and comics sucked his cock too hard, and now he's overexposed and overrated in fights.
nowtheresaBATman - 11/28/2012, 4:31 PM
betcha he'll atleast wear a Samurai helmet that resembles his mask.
RyGoR - 11/28/2012, 4:36 PM
I just wanna know how Last Stand affects this movie and plays into it. I just have a hunch they're going to make the ending of this movie set up X-men DOFP...but for now we play the waiting game...haha

.........yawn.............
sniktsnakt - 11/28/2012, 5:56 PM
Is Wolverine wearing a patch in that last pic? And are those a bunch of arrows sticking out of his back?
CharacterAssassin - 11/28/2012, 5:59 PM
@Fearless... that's right. When he's out of costume he's Logan. In costume, he's known as Wolverine. So they can quit playing this Wolverine game with the fanboys because he's NO Wolverine without the costume.
ComicBookGoth - 11/28/2012, 6:37 PM
still no mask

I love that the user's name is "ashola69."
mgeoff88 - 11/28/2012, 9:44 PM
As long as this is better than the one in XMO: Wolverine, this will be an awesome scene.
Stumblin - 11/29/2012, 8:01 AM
Cool scene in a crappy movie.
felixxx - 12/21/2012, 1:21 AM
ist pick looks like his "Patch" alias. That would be a good nod to the original comics for sure. If you dont know who Patch is, your not a Wolverine fan.

PS 10 dollars to the man who kills the guy that invented pop up ads!
