The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Tina Fey is closing in on the lead female role in Walt Disney Studios' sequel to 2011's The Muppets. She joins Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell in a part which is described by the site as being "a Russian gulag prison guard" in the Europe set follow-up. Story details are still under wraps, but we do know that James Bobin (who directed the 2011 Muppets film) is back both as helmer and co-writer. This would mark the second time that Gervais and Fey have worked together after they starred in The Invention of Lying. Stay tuned for further updates!

LOVE Tina Fey. She's been my biggest celebrity crush for years and is my dekstop image (sexy pic of her in a white blouse, black skirt and red heels, on her stomach, chewing her glasses, cleavage nicely displayed...)

Suffice to say, I'll be checking this one out.

Love the Muppets, hate Gervais. He's an annoying twit who laughs at his own jokes constantly.

I really don't like her stroke face.

I hate Tina Fey, judge me if you will but I don't find her funny at all.

I don't 'get' Tina Fey. I don't find her funny. And anyone who watches An Idiot Abroad will surely agree that Gervais is just an irritating [foo foo].

I love comic book movie news.

Tina Fey does suck, but Gervais is awesome-sauce. Ultimately disappointed that Segel isn't making a return, but I'll watch anything with the Muppets in it... so bring it.

30 Rock is one of the funniest shows around.

Ive never been a Ricky Gervais fan. His only ability is being an asshole, which for a Muppets movie I have a hard time seeing that work. But I do love Tina Fey so I am torn on this

WTF... does anyone really care?
