Variety has revealed that Disney are hoping to slip the glass slipper onto Emma Watson for their remake of Cinderella. Cate Blanchett has been attached to play the wicked stepmother for a while now, although the film recently gained a new director in the form of THOR's Kenneth Branagh after creative differences led to Mark Romanek departing the project. She has yet to read the script and scheduling issue may prove to be a problem, but the British actress who found fame in the Harry Potter franchise is their favourite. The studio have also considered Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Imogen Poots (Need for Speed) and Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina).

OhThePurdue - 2/28/2013, 6:24 PM
Not bad but i say Kristin Stewart. She was a great Snow White and she would be perfect for Cindy.
arashini - 2/28/2013, 6:24 PM
Anybody else think that it's pretty obvious that Emma Watson's gonna have the best career out of the Potter trio?
MisterNiceGuy - 2/28/2013, 6:27 PM
OhThePurdue, are you trying to be funny?
BIGBMH - 2/28/2013, 6:27 PM
I'm willing to consider watching anything with Emma Watson.
OhThePurdue - 2/28/2013, 6:29 PM
MisterNiceGuy, What if I'm not? Kristin Stewart is actually a really good actress. I thought she was superb in Adventureland. Watson is great, too don't get me wrong.
RonSwanson - 2/28/2013, 6:30 PM
Emma Watson is a great, beautiful actress. I'm sure she'd do well as Cindy.
TheHeat - 2/28/2013, 6:38 PM

Optimus83 - 2/28/2013, 6:49 PM
Good Cinderela for Disney. ...and MJ???
yourhairsmellsnice06 - 2/28/2013, 7:06 PM
i would love to see her doing bj. @ohthepurdue i bet you think nickleback is the best rock band of all time too. kristin stewart has less acting skills then a slice of melted cheese.
MisterNiceGuy - 2/28/2013, 7:07 PM
I just cant take KS seriously.. in any movie
CoolantTech - 2/28/2013, 7:17 PM
No we need Meagan Fox as MJ and Emma Watson for A proper Supergirl
MisterNiceGuy - 2/28/2013, 7:23 PM
Megan Fox needs to stay away from CBM's
FalafelVsShawarma - 2/28/2013, 7:31 PM
Gemma Arteton as Gretel
Amanda Seyfried as Red Riding Hood
Kristen Stewart as Snow White
Emma Watson as CInderella

So the next logical move are
Mary Elizabeth WInstead as Ariel the little Mermaid
Megan Fox as Jasmine from Aladdin
Eva Green as Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame

what a childhood i had... :)
OhThePurdue - 2/28/2013, 7:44 PM
@yourhairsmellsnice06 No Nickelback sucks donkey balls!
Karloff - 2/28/2013, 7:53 PM
Nice choice! But what happened to Del Toro's Beauty & The Beast? Read last year she was specifically chosen for that? Is this project dead? Or is that following Pacific Rim?
Super12 - 2/28/2013, 8:25 PM
Oh this has WIN written all over it
Pooh - 2/28/2013, 8:31 PM
She has a noble air about herself. But I don't see her as Cinderella. She's too grounded in reality.
SwingsetKnight - 2/28/2013, 8:32 PM
@ Soul Eater: Y'know, come to think of it, she DOES look like a Belle. Huh. Oh well, she's a good actress either way, so full steam ahead, O thriving childhood-exploiting industry...
superotherside - 2/28/2013, 8:49 PM
She's a great actress, I'd love to see her in this.
JoeMomma29 - 2/28/2013, 8:59 PM
FlixMentallo21 - 2/28/2013, 9:21 PM
ANOTHER Cinderella????

Hollywood, STOP MINING THE PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!! GIVE US ORIGINALITY, OR GIVE US DEATH!
Pooh - 2/28/2013, 9:28 PM
I hope this movie won't be like watching the Tri-wizard Ball all over again. That would make me sick to my stomach.
spanky87 - 2/28/2013, 10:41 PM
lol @ that guy who said kirsten stewart
she's a horrible actress and not even that pretty
juwono - 2/28/2013, 11:06 PM
the world will bow to this woman if she had big boobs.. hehehehehe
RetroFit - 2/28/2013, 11:12 PM
Well, if it's anything like 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Snow White', they'll turn her into a warrior woman and make her attack the wicked step-mother with a sword in some big battle at the end where she besieges the castle and rescues the Prince. And the step-sisters and step-mother will all be witches. 'Snow White' meets 'Hansel and Gretel'. Just you watch.
croniccris - 2/28/2013, 11:28 PM
A short haired Cinderella? I can dig it
xizorkatarn - 2/28/2013, 11:36 PM
Branagh is directing?? SOLD.
0bstreperous - 2/28/2013, 11:41 PM
Can't be worse than moesha (Google it)

Also Emma Watson is so beautiful it makes me swoon
MrYurMomm - 3/1/2013, 12:02 AM
Meh, she's very pretty no doubt, but I feel its just gonna be a rehash of her in a dress like the Potter films. Although I do not mind this casting choice, as she can be very bankable, I feel they should've gotten a different actress. But I'll still check this out, no doubt.
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/1/2013, 12:24 AM
And there goes your Belle Del Toro. Who you´re gonna cast now in your Beauty and the Beast adaptation.
yourhairsmellsnice06 - 3/1/2013, 6:31 PM
@ohthepurdue kristin stewart does too. why root for one and hate the other. just hate them both for the same reason, everything they do sounds just like something they've done before.
SuspenseSmith - 3/1/2013, 9:55 PM
Fairest one of all for sure.
SuspenseSmith - 3/1/2013, 9:55 PM
oh wait... wrong princess.
