BOOM. That was the sound of us all having our minds blown by some incredibly exciting news! According to the extremely reliable El Mayimbe over at Latino-Review, Christopher Nolan is the new godfather of the DC Cinematic Universe. Not only is he producing Man of Steel, but he and Zack Snyder will do the same for Justice League. The latter may even DIRECT the superhero ensemble. As if that wasn't enough to have us all wetting ourselves in anticipation, Warner Bros. are hoping to bring Christian Bale back as Batman. The studio wants to make it happen and the actor himself has said he would be willing to return for the right story as long as Nolan is involved. It's unclear whether or not David Goyer will be involved in the project, but is seems likely, while a World's Finest movie may still be on the cards! More info can be found in the video below.

Bale back would be sick, but I prefer a less realistic batman on JLA.
AmazingFantasy - 3/3/2013, 6:41 PM
Christian Baleis FINISHED.

Pleas make it new. If MOS is good, JLA will be good
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 3/3/2013, 6:41 PM
LOL. He got himself in some deep shit with the Hulk and now he's trying to cover up his stench by talking about JLA. Go suck a dick, ya' lying bitch and STFU!

PaulRom - 3/3/2013, 6:41 PM
Consider me thrilled. They'll obviously have to explain many things after TDKR, but with Nolan overseeing the project, I'm pumped beyond belief.
JusticePourTous - 3/3/2013, 6:41 PM
I got serious doubts about this guy. And I really wish he'd stop calling us 'cool kids'.
MarkJulian - 3/3/2013, 6:42 PM
@TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM Actually, they didnt. AICN is not in the scoop name. In fact, AICN is always WRONG!
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:42 PM
Definitely want Justice League.

Eh....not really wanting Bale back. His Batman would be killed in 5 seconds against alien forces.
Nick56 - 3/3/2013, 6:45 PM
[frick] yes! This just made my day!
BruceLeroy - 3/3/2013, 6:46 PM
I'm not a fan of this if this is true. Move on from the Nolan/Bale dynamic WB.
LP4 - 3/3/2013, 6:46 PM
Damn Josh beat me by a couple minutes
PaulRom - 3/3/2013, 6:46 PM
For those doubting this guy, don't. He's broken many scoops that ended up being true, such as:

-Nolan and Goyer working on a Superman movie
-Heath Ledger being offered the role of Joker
-Ben Kingsley playing Mandarin
-Thanos in Avengers
-Guardians of the Galaxy movie in 2014

I can go on, but I shouldn't have to.
laughterman26 - 3/3/2013, 6:47 PM
i call bullshit, but none the less. i am indeed fuc'king pumped
Grayson7954 - 3/3/2013, 6:49 PM
I'm okay with bale, cause he gave a decent portrayal of batman, but a great bruce wayne ( even though batman will appear more most likely in the justice league) I will also be okay with it, if it has NO TIES with the nolan verse. Im fine with bale playing batman again, in a james bond-esque return, but different universe. if its that... then ill be happy.
ForeverPowerful - 3/3/2013, 6:50 PM
Oh. My. GODDDDDDDD!!!!!! Please god I will give up everything to see this happen!!!! I could totally see Bale whooping some ass next to Cavill and Reynolds Superman and Green Lantern!!!! This will make my life if this turns out to be true.
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:50 PM
Now I wouldn't be extremely upset if Bale returned, but I mean......he'd be in his 40's, many injuries, and like I said, his Batman would die in 5 seconds against alien forces. I was looking forward to a revamp of Batman for Justice League. But, whatever.
GizmoEl - 3/3/2013, 6:51 PM
It would be a shame if it were true. It would definitely take away from the ending of TDKR. I hope this is bull.
MJPETTY7 - 3/3/2013, 6:51 PM
Reading more about this source I'm starting to believe him. I am thrilled that Nolan & Snyder will be overseeing the DCCU, but I am upset about Bale being back as Batman. Mainly because of how disappointing TDKR was, at least to me. I loved the movie, but I expected more. But honestly, I'd rather just have them just retcon The Dark Knight Trilogy and have Bale's Batman be a new Batman more based on the comics.
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:51 PM
Nolan overseeing the project and Snyder being a producer or director is fine by me.
rudeawakening - 3/3/2013, 6:52 PM
Super duper pumped omg i hope this is true
JULEZ13 - 3/3/2013, 6:52 PM
Who wants to see an old ass Bale running around with a 25 year old Superman, and other superheroes of the same age??? NOT ME!!! That is just ridiculous! That universe of Batman is OVER!!! Let someone younger and better take on the role!!!

This is my only quarrel with this news and I hope it doesn't happen. I hope Nolan just produces while someone else takes the reigns and starts anew with the character.

I told everyone that Goyer will rewrite the Justice League script and that Zack Snyder will direct it.

Christopher Nolan god-fathering ALL of DC's properties is no surprise but it does concern me a bit. But as long as they stay true to the respective characters and stories and they come out as good as MOS then I'm fine with it.
MJPETTY7 - 3/3/2013, 6:52 PM
But if this is the case, bring Ryan Reynolds back as Green Lantern!!! Why not?
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:52 PM
Maybe Blake died 3 days in to taking up the mantle, that's why Supes had to go to Bruce lol
CeltiC527 - 3/3/2013, 6:52 PM
[Frick] yeah! Make this shit happen!!!!....

Just like they say, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away."
LAXtremest - 3/3/2013, 6:54 PM
I'm not buying this for one minute.
LP4 - 3/3/2013, 6:54 PM
Eat dust Marvel fans
Jaspion - 3/3/2013, 6:54 PM
Please, don't.

He was fine but was hoping for a better Batman. Stronger, faster, smarter.
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:55 PM
This was one idea of how I would have done the cameo at the end of Man of Steel leading in to Justice League.

But obviously having a Superman and Batman interaction would probably be better.
Bread - 3/3/2013, 6:55 PM
NO. I want to move on from the Nolan trilogy. It was great, but it's over. IT IS OVER.
JULEZ13 - 3/3/2013, 6:56 PM
Bale being back as Batman is VERY upsetting. Almost ruined my night. But I'm hoping this isn't set in stone yet.

Like someone said above, the Nolanverse Batman would die in 5 seconds. He wouldn't be able to stand next to Superman and defend himself. And having Batman just chill in his cave talking to the rest of the JL through an ear piece is NOT exciting.

Disney/Marvel's Hawkeye would kick Nolanverse Batman's ass! And that's just sad smh.
Franshu - 3/3/2013, 6:56 PM
Sorry, but I dont believe a word of it. So far, ElMayibe has been full of BS. If he ever says something that actually happens, then I MAY believe it.
fattieacid - 3/3/2013, 6:57 PM
I loev that Nolan is coming back BUT you gotta end the Bale-Batman era.. it was a perfect ending.. don't ruin it..
Nick56 - 3/3/2013, 6:57 PM
So if Superman brings batman out of retirement would that mean JGL's Robin/Nightwing/Batman becomes Batman's partner/sidekick?
JatevinM - 3/3/2013, 6:58 PM
If this is true and Nolan is producing while Snyder is directing and Bale is returning as Batman I can honestly say that I am extremely excited and this is the best route to take. People are going to talk crap about Nolan and his Batman trilogy, but we all know that he is the best hope we have for seeing a Justice League movie.
LAXtremest - 3/3/2013, 6:58 PM
Hey Josh, you forgot to say "Take this with a grain of salt." You're acting like this is a fact.
FrenzyFreak - 3/3/2013, 6:58 PM
As long as they can stray far from the realistic setting of TDK trilogy while still keeping the gritty tone Im good with it. Also, since when have the LR Hulk rumors been debunked? And Im not including the bullshit site AICN debunking it.
JDUKE25 - 3/3/2013, 6:59 PM
I'm fine with Bruce being older than everyone else. But only if it's like 35 compared to everyone else being in their late 20's or early 30's
Nick56 - 3/3/2013, 7:00 PM
Tone and look wise, Dark Knight and Man of Steel can easily exist in the same universe.

And why would they need to ignore dark knight/dark knight rises? But just has to come out of retirement.
