IRON MAN 3 Now Confirmed For Even Earlier UK Release

We already knew that Iron Man 3 would open in the US slightly earlier than in North America, but Disney has now confirmed an even earlier release date for the highly anticipated Marvel Studios threequel in the UK. Read on for details!

While it was initially reported that Iron Man 3 would be released on April 27th in the UK, and later on the 26th, Disney has now confirmed that UK comic book fans will be able to see the film on Thursday, April 25th. Booking is already open on many UK cinema websites to see the film in IMAX 3D, with many seats having already sold just hours after going on sale. The film is still set to be released in North America on May 4th. The UK version of the latest trailer can also be seen below.






Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Ain't that a bitch? Why does Marvel always release their movies overseas a week before they release them here in the States. Why not just do like they did with Avatar and release the damn thing on the same date everywhere?

Holy crap! When I was a kid it took about a year after the US release date for some movies to hit UK shores. All a part of the marketing machine now and the studios always design it to max out profits.

Still, I'm lucky to have remained willfully blissfully unaware of what IM3 is all about having avoided virtually every IRM3 thread and image CBM has thrown up in over the months. Same goes for ST2.
Holy crap I hate knowing too much before hitting the box office.

Jeez, here comes the bitching again...

Let me put this straight: many overseas countries' audiences will NOT watch a movie if it's ripped and online before the launch.

That's not true to the US, you'll watch it anyway (and the grossing is always higher in US than anywhere else). They'll release in other countries first so people will watch it in theaters.

Releasing it later in America (their biggest audience) means that they generate more interest from Americans. I mean, just look at all of you getting pissed that you have to wait longer - it makes it more likely that American cinemas will start selling out Iron Man 3 screenings, because everyone will want to see it as soon as possible, especially if others around the world already saw it days before.
