Will We See Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson In THE EXPENDABLES 3?

The majority of the actors in The Expendables franchise aren't exactly in their prime, but with the likes of Jason Statham and Liam Hemsworth taking on roles in the movies, will Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson be next? Hit the jump to read his comments.

Talking to on the set of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Dwayne Johnson was asked whether he would accept a role in the next instalment in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables franchise. "It all depends," the actor and wrestler cautiously answered. "Yeah, sure. I like Sly. He’s been a buddy for some time. That continues to grow, too and I’m excited about that and I know a lot of guys are. I love the first one and I’m excited about the second one. Sure, if he needs somebody to hunt somebody down, he knows where I’m at." This interview obviously took place before the second movie came out and a third one has now been given the green light (Stallone is currently hard at work on the screenplay). Do you think The Rock would be a good addition to the action ensemble?

Well, if Rock is cast and is on the team & not a villian, put him in some scenes / scenarios with Terry Crews & Dolph Lundgren & that will be comedy gold right there, I can just see some witty dialogue going on in scenes between these 3.

It'll be a quick blink-and-miss it scene. I'll be the guy who gets a nerve punch, followed by a chop to the windpipe, then a right hook to the temple. Chuck Norris draggin' me across the floor by my locks while I'm screamin' "OW!! SPLIT ENDS, YOU [frick]ER, SPLIT ENDS!!!". My credit will be the one right under "girly guy at bar" and it'll read "even girlier guy at bar- cipher". ..... I will pray to Affleck for your inclusion in Armageddon 2 and I shall name my first-born after you once my wish is granted. :P

Those 4 were big time 80s actors too. Wouldnt you love to hear Danny Glover say again "I'm getting too old for this shit!" or Carl Weathers say "Youuuuu son of a bitch!"

And if they put Glover in just to use that line, I'd be all for that. Same goes with Glover though, at 67, the role couldn't be too demanding. Maybes if they gave them something to do like Mickey Rourke had in the first.

If he has time in his schedule & he gets offered a role, he should do it, it's perfect for him. Besides, Expendables 3 won't be out until next year anyways, so that would be Hercules & Expendables 3 that could be two Rock films of 2014. I'm all for Kurt Russell & Wesley Snipes (DEFINITELT Snipes) for getting roles in this too. Eastwood, Gibson & Ford, all not so much for me. Segal, I'm undecided on. Whilst I do indeed like a lot of his films & his Martial Arts, he wasn't somebody I'd go out my way to see at the flicks like an Arnie, Stallone or Willis, but I suppose he'd fit the cast too, but, I also wouldn't miss him if he were there. DEFINITELY NO NIC CAGE either!!!!!

Terry Crews and The Rock were battling for the role of Roadblock in GI Joe, so have them duke it out in the movie, and give Jane a fight scene with Stallone or Norris.
