No Hellfire Club In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST?
While they played a major role in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, sources close to the production of the Bryan Singer helmed X-Men: Days of Future Past have reportedly confirmed that the villainous organisation will NOT be back in the sequel. Read on for details!
The Geek Files has heard from studio sources that 'the Hellfire Club [from X-Men: First Class] is not in this story', suggesting it might not be just Jason Flemyng's Azazel who isn't coming back. That would also seem to rule out Emma Frost (January Jones), Riptide (Alex Gonzalez) and Angel Salvadore (Zoe Kravitz).
The site brings up a very interesting point here. While I don't think that any of us were necessarily expecting to see the Hellfire Club play as big a role in this sequel - the fact that the remaining members joined Magneto's Brotherhood at the end of X-Men: First Class may have been proof enough of that - does this revelation mean that we won't see the former members return in any capacity? Flemyng and Jones have already said that they don't expect to be back, while we've heard nothing about the others so far (and they weren't included on the board that Singer Tweeted yesterday), although none of them would REALLY be missed.
