"Am I interested? Absolutely," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson told Hey U Guys at the UK premiere of G.I. Joe: Retaliation earlier this evening when asked about those recent rumblings that he's after a role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. "Who would I like to play? Well...that would be up to J.J.! I love how this whole story by the way has morphed into this reality that I'm gonna be in Star Wars! I love J.J., I'm a big, big fan of Star Wars and he is gonna be awesome directing it." When the site put it to him that he would be a good choice to take on a role in the next Bond, he said: "Skyfall is one of the greatest action movies of all-time to be in. Loved Daniel Craig. Would love to be a Bond baddie for sure! You know, my grandfather was in 'You Only Live Twice'. He was a Bond baddie." Finally, it sounds as if Johnson isn't as interested in a role in The Expendables 3 as we initially thought. "Expendables 3? They're not ready for me! They're not ready for this ass kickin'!" Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this in the usual place!

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonventura and Brian Goldner, from screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I Joe characters.

Expendable 3 should have Hulk Hogan in it, since we're dealing with 80's action heroes.
Nadj76 - 3/18/2013, 3:26 PM
Not Star Wars. Maybe in a Wookie costume.

It's unfortunate because the expendable a franchise would benefit a lot more from his presence than either the Star Wars or 007 franchise would
MisterNiceGuy - 3/18/2013, 4:20 PM
He seems like a pretty cool dude. You can tell he was annoyed by answering all those questions but he kept his composure and answered them anyway.. unlike some actors who would probably have trashed his ligts...
iam8bit - 3/18/2013, 4:32 PM
I like wrestling and all, but Star Wars is above this guy.

Sorry, but JUST NO.
ndwwrestler2 - 3/18/2013, 4:37 PM
@iam8bit Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has risen above Wrestling himself. And has become a pretty ok/decent actor, who has a great presence in films.

He is a heck of a lot better then having a Teen Disney Star with absolutely no experience in a serious big movie.
OrgasmicPotatoe - 3/18/2013, 4:44 PM
Keep him as far as possible from the Star Wars franchise. Please. The Rock is The Rock, no matter what roles he play, so he'd be best in the Expendables than anywhere else.
Bread - 3/18/2013, 4:55 PM
Have him play Boba-Fett's son
kemuael - 3/18/2013, 5:01 PM

mgeoff88 - 3/18/2013, 10:56 PM
