Peter Dinklage Quizzed On Whether He's Playing 'Bolivar Trask' In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Our pals over at MTV caught up with Peter Dinklage recently and asked him outright whether or not he is playing Sentinels creator 'Bolivar Trask' in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. His answer? Hit the jump to check it out!

There has been a lot of speculation as to who (or even what) Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage will be playing in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but one of the most popular suggestions is the creator of the mutant hunting Sentinels, Bolivar Trask. When the fine folks over at MTV Geek caught up with the actor recently, they asked him directly whether or not that's who he's playing. Does his reaction give it away? That was funny. And that's what worries me this guy makes me laugh, how can he be the big bad that kills all the mutants? I see him more as an Anti Mutant senator that gets assassinated and causes the events to happen.

Still doesn't make any sense to me that they would change Trask's appearance so radically. He was black in X3.

Sorry to say but fox doesn't care about Dukes playing Trask in X 3. They called him Senator Trask, I don't recall ever hearing him called Bollivar Trask. You have to do some digging, but when First Class came out with Emma Frost in it, the Emma that was in Wolverine Origins had her background changed on the Marvel Comics Database. Marvel tried to fix what fox broke the only way they could. So you get forced to see it as a coincidence that there are two Emmas that turn to diamond. Their not the same character. They never refer to her as Emma Frost in the Wolverine Origins movie. Just in the marketing for that film they lead you to believe it was Emma Frost. Not Emma Silverfox. Fox doesn't care if you accept this or not. So if they want to make Dinklage Bollivar Trask they can. Hate to say it but its true. Look it up.

Maybe their gonna cast him as wolverine and then colossus could throw him for real! Maybe he will be baby jesus and tell us to shut the hell up and wait till the movie comes out to judge! Despite what I said in the earlier post I'm still hoping for the best.

For those of u who can't see this guy playing a serious role, then go watch game of thrones. He's the best actor on the show and its not even close. And the other actors are not bad by any stretch. This guy is just that great!!

I just finished reading DOFP and I honestly can't think of who he'd be... Avalanche maybe? Please...No he's such lame baddie IMO an would be a terrible waste. And maybe I missed something, but boliver trask is not in DOFP except for maybe a page or two, tops....

That's the problem. You just read the actual source material. Have you seen the other movies? They keep it very close to the original material.

Yes that was sarcasm. They haven't portrayed a single character properly yet except prof x and magneto in my opinion. I still enjoy them but you can't rely on them going off the books. Its a thing of its own. Like ultimate x men.

He's not Apocalypse. I have a feeling he's going to be in the sequel and be as an end-credits scene. If not, I have a feeling this might be added into the production near the end.

Its one thing to change a character's age and last name.

Its quite another to change their race and make them two feet shorter.

@toco. I agree. But I think you may have missed my whole point. If they did the same thing with the Trasks, they would have nothing to do with each other. It would be the same as you knowing two guys with the same last name, but are not related. It happens all the time. So fox may say, its just a coincidence. Secretary Trask has nothing to do with bolivar Trask and his sentinels.
