Paul Giamatti has left it a little late to get familiar with 'The Rhino' if the following photos taken by Fan-Girl.Org are any indication! As you can see, the actor is checking out a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #41; the first issue of the series that the character appeared in. It's still unknown whether or not we'll get to see Giamatti become 'The Rhino' in this movie, but is definitely seems as if Marc Webb has decided to flesh out his human side first. We've also been doing some research on that barbed wire forehead that this version of Aleksei Sytsevich is sporting and it is apparently a common prison tattoo which means, "life imprisonment with no possibility of parole."

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Sally Fields as Aunt May

RELEASE DATE: May 2nd, 2014.

superherofan21 - 5/11/2013, 6:46 PM
I think Giamatti was born to play the Rhino. I don't think anyone else could do as good a job as he will.
Tony93 - 5/11/2013, 6:48 PM
hm jamie foxx and paul.. they are great actors so Im sure theres going to be great chemistry with talent, and the audience knows them alot.. hopefully the action in this film is better than the first

SO AWESOME!
Jobin - 5/11/2013, 6:52 PM
My bet is that he does not suit up....his "rhino suit" is his big mean steel semi truck.
Tony93 - 5/11/2013, 6:53 PM
I still wish we will one day get a faithful adaption of venom..
DioFoRio - 5/11/2013, 6:53 PM
Im excited for this one. I feel like this one may make up for the last. I feel like the last movie, as lackluster as I found it, at least laid down the beats of the origin a lil closer to the comics. Hopefully they don't rely on dipping in that well any longer and just move forward.
DioFoRio - 5/11/2013, 6:54 PM
I have the same feeling Jobin.
JBatesyFilmreviews - 5/11/2013, 6:55 PM
@jobin thats exactly what I thought!

JokerFan21 - 5/11/2013, 7:00 PM
I was genuinely frightened by that third pic because it came out of nowhere.
MrMartinMarvel - 5/11/2013, 7:02 PM

i thought that was barb wire. giamatti's gonna bring his evil "A " game

can't see it being a semi. he can only do that like, what, once?
JoeMomma29 - 5/11/2013, 7:07 PM
This guy is one of favorite actors, he is pretty funny yet he can be intense if needed.

mctrinket - 5/11/2013, 7:07 PM
"Swots Up"? WTF does that even mean.
JoeMomma29 - 5/11/2013, 7:09 PM
Though I am really curious how they are going to pull this off! Who knows it could be the most kick A$$ villain ever!

Ocelot - 5/11/2013, 7:10 PM
@Jobin rampaging and charging like a wild rhino but in a truck, I dont think he'll have a suit but I think they'll heavily allude to him becoming an actual rhino in the next film, one of the set picks showed some sort of serum
Moohika - 5/11/2013, 7:11 PM
Glad he is playing Rhino, he said in an interview with Conan a few years back that playing Rhino is his dream role.
JoeMomma29 - 5/11/2013, 7:13 PM
Though I do like how he looks like a baddie already, none of this poor sorry little nerd gets a grudge and bam because a super villain crap!
InFamouslyCool - 5/11/2013, 7:14 PM
Can't be any worse than the last.
ScabbyJ - 5/11/2013, 7:16 PM
Such a good actor, he can look so jolly then immediately look SO mean!!!
NeoBaggins - 5/11/2013, 7:17 PM
They're going for the worst casting award.
Jobin - 5/11/2013, 7:20 PM
Don't think he will be an actual rhino.....maybe a folded out [frick]...like comic book version bane.
Jollem - 5/11/2013, 7:21 PM
JoeMomma29 - 5/11/2013, 7:22 PM
@Jobin

Or worse a drugged up stage actor!!!!!
Doppelganger - 5/11/2013, 7:24 PM
To much like the Lizard.. It wont happen.
Hopefully he's just in it to follow up with the venom series so they follow the story from the 90's spiderman cartoon which was amazing!
iPaul - 5/11/2013, 7:32 PM
Can't friggin wait !
Jollem - 5/11/2013, 7:34 PM
or is it a crown of thorns?
SpectacularJoShFest - 5/11/2013, 7:34 PM
