Despite being sued by Warner Bros. for their rip-off version of The Hobbit, 'The Asylum' haven't let that deter them from doing the same to Pacific Rim. However, let's be fair. It doesn't REALLY sound all that similar, right? "When giant monsters crawl out of the Atlantic Ocean and attack the Eastern Seaboard, the US Government is forced to trust A.I. robots to defend the country," reads the synopsis. Oh. Definitely a rip-off then! If you're interested, Atlantic Rim will more than likely hit DVD either before or just after the release of Pacific Rim in theatres this July.
