While he's currently hard at work on Interstellar, fan favourite choice Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) has reportedly been approached by producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson about helming James Bond 24. Read on for details!
When Sam Mendes confirmed that he wouldn't be returning to helm the follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed Skyfall, many fans were left wondering who on Earth would be able to fill his shoes and deliver a Bond movie even a fraction as good. Perhaps that's why The Dark Knight Trilogy's Christopher Nolan is such a popular choice, and Mail Online is now reporting that the director is in early stage talks to take the reigns of James Bond 24. According to the site, "It’s early days, but informal talks have begun between Nolan, his representatives and the powers behind the James Bond pictures, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G .Wilson." However, as Interstellar has only just begun production, Nolan would be unable to begin work on a new 007 movie until 2015, meaning that the film more than likely wouldn't be released until 2017 at the earliest. By that time, star Daniel Craig will be approaching 50 and five years will have passed since the release of the first billion dollar instalment in the franchise, losing any momentum the studio may have gained.
