Showbiz411 have got their hands on a casting sheet for "Untitled Studio Feature", although they believe that it is in fact for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. It appears as if the three roles described below are for the main characters in the movie; two of whom are presumably the children of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Could one of them be Benedict Cumberbatch?!

[YOUNG MAN] Early 20s. Handsome, but not necessarily heroic. He is witty and smart. Physically fit.

[MAN] Late 20s. Physically fit, handsome and confident.

[YOUNG WOMAN] Late teens. Physically fit, raw energy, independent and with a great sense of humor.

In June a similar casting call went out in Los Angeles for these three, a little differently worded, plus a few others. It read like this:

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.

Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

Forty something male, fit, military type.

Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.

Let the speculation begin...

And... here... we... go...
TheSonGoku - 9/6/2013, 1:45 AM
Cumberpatch fits all of those descriptions.
woodsy100 - 9/6/2013, 1:53 AM
So basically it's Luke, Han & Leia?
Tempo - 9/6/2013, 1:53 AM
The Han Solo's children and/or Skywalker's children.
CoulsonLives - 9/6/2013, 2:02 AM

Honestly, it gives the impression that somebody's rewriting the original trilogy with a slightly younger Leia. That said, it's hard to read too much into this: it's only a casting call, and casting calls are always low on info (as they're just going to rocket onto sites like this one right off the bat).
revloveR - 9/6/2013, 2:49 AM
can we get more info? i'll go to this hit for shits and giggles.
MightyZeus - 9/6/2013, 2:56 AM
All of them would be Idris Elba....
JediPhilosopher - 9/6/2013, 3:08 AM
What's-his-name Cumberbach should play every role in this movie, even the women. :P
If not obvious, I'm kidding.
TheBigBoss917 - 9/6/2013, 3:16 AM
lmao no way this is coming out 2015
NoAssemblyReqd - 9/6/2013, 3:30 AM
Hmm. No mention of race.

Remember Abrams' SUPER 8's odd casting call for kids with a "mid - Western feel"?

"Looking for adults and a teen with a Corellian, Tatooinish, Naboo-ian feel."
NeoBaggins - 9/6/2013, 3:31 AM
That young Clark Kent should be in this.
caroldanvers - 9/6/2013, 3:32 AM
@raccoonwithrockets i'm in as long as the lady roles can be played by tatiana maslany.
MightyZeus - 9/6/2013, 3:47 AM
@caroldanvers, I'm fine with that.
Havenless - 9/6/2013, 3:51 AM
Did you guys notice, "Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit. "

Hmm, maybe Harrison is backing out and they don't want to tell anyone yet?
NoAssemblyReqd - 9/6/2013, 4:23 AM
I think they can still make 2015. Shooting takes what, 2 to 3 months? And I bet there will be a lot more digital sets than they are admitting to. The key to successful CG shots is to shoot them and light them as if you were really there. Some directors get that, and thus their FX shots go unnoticed. Abrams has been pretty good at that.
TheBlackNerd - 9/6/2013, 4:29 AM
Man I wish I could go audition! lol
TheBlackNerd - 9/6/2013, 4:30 AM
This is a franchise I'll actually be able to grow with. The characters and their age range! I feel as if I'll be more connected for some odd reason! lol
MrChuff - 9/6/2013, 4:34 AM
FFS...just because Abrams directed Star Trek with Cumberbatch in and is now doing Star Wars doesnt mean he'll take Benedict Cumberbatch with him.

There is absolutely NO evidence to suggest any reason why he would.

Give it up...it is not going to happen.
ParisSun - 9/6/2013, 4:45 AM
Episode VII will either be the rise of a legend or the epitath on its grave. Either way I'm there.
Hopefully they don't go with the pretty boy look to these characters, we need more of that young badass Clint Eastwood look to these characters.
ManDeth - 9/6/2013, 4:55 AM
Jar Jar Abrams just f**ked up Star Trek and now he will shit on the original Trilogy with his shit touch.
SkywayTraffic - 9/6/2013, 5:30 AM
I hope Chloe Moretz is in this movie so bad
grifdeadpoolteabag - 9/6/2013, 5:59 AM
No script, no dice.
JohnnyCloud - 9/6/2013, 6:02 AM
Such casting calls are total bullshit.
Three well known upcoming actors with power agents will be cast, just wait for it.
This is just cheap promotion.
JediPhilosopher - 9/6/2013, 6:13 AM
SkywayTraffic
Chloe Moretz? Okay.. She's an actress. I've liked her as Hit-Girl. But, why necessarily in a Star Wars movie? It just seems to me you may be revealing some wrong-thinking I keep seeing. People become such advocates for particular actors that they want to get them into a movie just to get them in there. That's just odd to me.
Lhornbk - 9/6/2013, 6:36 AM
They "think" it's for Star Wars? Yeah, another stupid, unsubstantiated rumor.
pintoman - 9/6/2013, 7:00 AM
It's not " J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII".

It's "Star Wars Episode VII".

Geez
batmantattoo - 9/6/2013, 7:40 AM
No its not han, Leia and Luke. Its Jaina, Jacen & Anikin Solo. I believe its their three kids. A combo of the New Jedi Order & Legacy Of The Force Series would make a great series. It would show that the star war universe has other threats beyond the sith. But also show the sith will always be a thorn in the back of the jedi. They could easily spin off a boba fett series from it because you learn in the books that the colones were designed with a genetic kill switch and Boba has been trying to stop the process for years. He ultimately has to kind the Caminos for the cure. It really could be epic.
pintoman - 9/6/2013, 8:55 AM
George Lucas' Star Wars
Irv Kershner's Empire Strikes Back
Richard Marquand's Return of the Jedi

And in theaters soon...

JJ Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII
(Cuz, without Abrams developing this film, it wouldn't exist!)
Indy - 9/6/2013, 9:50 AM
I just want to see Harrison ford kick some ass so I don't care about the new people.
JediPhilosopher - 9/6/2013, 9:50 AM
@batz11 Her major force power would be her razor sharp wit. She doesn't even need the sabers.
JediPhilosopher - 9/6/2013, 9:56 AM
What is this weird-ars obsession with this Cumberbach guy? People are waaaaaay too obsessed with the most recently featured decent actor. I just don't understand it. I've lived long enough to have seen good actors pop up out of nowhere. Often actors not known for anything decent get cast in a high budget movie and do great, and suddenly they're A-list. Actors are actors, people.
massdeath - 9/6/2013, 10:18 AM
Nathan Fillion. No wait Idris Elba. How about Bradley Cooper?
RetroFit - 9/6/2013, 10:40 AM
Hmmmm. Sounds like the casting call for the original Star Wars. Late teen gir that's spunky, early 20s male, dashing late 20s male, 70 year old wise man...
HugoStrange87 - 9/6/2013, 11:09 AM
Haha finally some jokes about the casting. It is Star Wars and it seems with the exception of Hayden Christiansen unknowns work.
DurtyTalynt - 9/6/2013, 11:41 AM
Haha! Not traditionally handsome?
